Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reagent for measurement of a percarboxylic acid concentration of a percarboxylic acid-containing aqueous solution with high accuracy using an optical method, and a method for measuring and a device capable of measuring using the reagent. As an indicator solution to be used for measuring a percarboxylic acid concentration in a percarboxylic acid-containing aqueous solution (test sample), the indicator solution is used that contains Brilliant Blue FCF as an internal standard substance and an iodide salt as a coloring substance.
Abstract:
The invention provides a liquid composition containing (a) an acidic oxidant, (b) nitric acid or a salt thereof, and (c) at least one carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of monocarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids, and tricarboxylic acids, or a salt thereof. The liquid composition can be used to disinfect or sterilize a subject that includes a portion made of an aluminum-based metal.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a microbicidal composition with excellent action of limiting a decrease in durability of synthetic adhesives as well as high microbicidal action. The microbicidal composition contains 0.03 to less than 1.0 mass % of peracetic acid, 0.045 to less than 1.5 mass % of hydrogen peroxide, and 0.036 mass % or more of glycine.
Abstract:
The invention provides a percarboxylic acid concentration-determining device capable of determining the concentration of percarboxylic acid contained in an aqueous solution for chemical sterilization or disinfection that contains a percarboxylic acid as an active ingredient; and an indicator solution for use in preparing the device. The indicator solution contains a starch, an iodide, a thiosulfate, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, with the starch, the iodide, the thiosulfate, and the water-soluble organic solvent being present in the following proportions, based on the total amount taken as 100 mass %: (a) starch: 0.01 to 5 mass %; (b) iodide: 0.01 to 5 mass %; (c) thiosulfate: 0.01 to 10 mass %; and (d) water-soluble organic solvent: 0.1 to 40 mass %, wherein the total amount of (a), (b), and (c) is greater than 0.6 mass %.
