摘要: An antimicrobial supply system employs a process water supply and incorporates a metallic ion supply connected to the process water supply to provide a high ion concentrate to an output. A dilution reservoir is connected to the metallic ion supply output and has an input from the process water supply. A pump is connected to an output of the reservoir. A manifold connected to the pump provides a dilute concentrate to at least one washing system and a recirculation loop to the dilution reservoir for enhanced mixing of the dilute concentrate. An electronics control module is connected to a first flow controller between the process water supply and the metallic ion supply and a second flow controller between the metallic ion supply and the reservoir for dilution control establishing a desired metallic ion concentration.

摘要: The invention relates to method of filling a medical washer/disinfector. A desired pump speed of a circulation pump is determined. A predefined filling level associated with the desired pump speed is identified. Liquid is fed into a washing chamber while the circulation pump is running at less than said desired pump speed. While the liquid is continued to be fed so that the liquid level rises, the pump speed is increased based on the rising liquid level until said desired pump speed is reached. When the pump is running at said desired pump speed, it is detected when the liquid has been filled to the predefined filling level, and upon such detection the feeding of the liquid into the washing chamber is interrupted. Then invention also relates to a method of operating a medical washer/disinfector, a control unit and a medical washer/disinfector.

摘要: Systems and methods for using solid high-level disinfection chemistries to producing disinfectant solutions. In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises: a first container and a second container. The first container is configured to receive water, sodium percarbonate and tetraacetylethylenediamine. The water, the sodium percarbonate, the tetraacetylethylenediamine react within the first container to produce a mixture comprising peroxyacetic acid. The second container is in fluid communication with the first container, wherein the second container is configured to receive an acid and the mixture. The mixture and the acid mix in the second container to produce a disinfectant solution having a pH between 5.0 and 7.0.

摘要: A non-oxidizing, buffered disinfectant concentrate is provided to be included in a solution used to disinfect a membrane. The solution applied to the membrane is configured to have a pH that is compatible with the membrane. The disinfectant concentrate includes an aqueous solvent; a hydrotrope; a strong acid surface cleanser; a biocidal active, preferably, at least two biocidal actives; a buffer agent; and, optionally, an anionic surfactant. The biodical active may be selected to function both as a biocide and as a weak acid/buffer combination. A disinfectant solution applied to the membrane includes from about 0.1 wt % to about 3.5 wt % of this disinfectant concentrate.

The disclosed technology includes a process of making an antimicrobial polymer composition, where the process includes mixing an antimicrobial additive into a base polymer and further includes mixing in a non-fouling additive, where the antimicrobial additive is chemically held in the composition and the antimicrobial and non-fouling additives do not negatively impact each other's effectiveness.
