    摘要： A cartridge includes; a first gear rotatably provided at the casing; a second gear including a toothed portion and a toothless portion; and a storing portion configured to store the second gear. The second gear includes an arm that is flexible and extends substantially along a peripheral direction of the second gear. An inner peripheral surface of the storing portion includes a bulging portion that bulges inward in a radial direction. The bulging portion has a peak portion closest to a rotation center of the second gear. The arm is deflected while the arm contacts the bulging portion. The deflection of the arm is changed from an increasing tendency to a decreasing tendency at the peak portion as a base point. The toothed portion of the second gear is separated from the first gear when the end portion of the arm has crossed over the peak portion.

The drum unit includes a frame, a photosensitive drum that is rotatably supported by the frame, a contact member that is held to the frame and that contacts a circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum. The circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum has an image forming area on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a non-image forming area that is adjacent to the image forming area. The contact member is in surface-contact with the non-image forming area and is not contacting with the image forming area.

    摘要： A process cartridge includes: a drum cartridge; a developing cartridge, which holds a developing roller at a first end portion thereof, and which is detachably mounted to the drum cartridge; a lock member, which is provided to the drum cartridge, and which is displaceable between a lock position and a lock release position; an operation member that displaces the lock member to the lock release position; a lifting member that lifts a second end portion of the developing cartridge from the drum cartridge as the lock member is displaced to the lock release position; a developing-side holding part that extends in a direction orthogonal to the lifting direction of the second end portion from the drum cartridge; and a drum-side holding part that extends in parallel with the developing-side holding part while being opposed to the developing-side holding part in the lifting direction when the developing cartridge is mounted.

The conveyance guide members include: conveyance ribs extend in a conveyance direction of the recording medium orthogonal to the axial direction of the developing roller so as to protrude from the housing toward the conveyance path of the recording medium; and end ribs, which are provided at both end portions in the axial direction of the developing roller, which are inclined outward with respect to the axial direction of the developing roller toward a downstream side in the conveyance direction, and which protrude further from the housing into the conveyance path side than the conveyance ribs.
