摘要： A spectacle plate assembly and method for its production includes adhesively bonding a ring-shaped flexible sealing gasket to cover all, or substantially all of a contoured gasket receiving surface that is formed on both sides of the circular plate, the upper surfaces of the contoured gasket receiving surface lying above the plane of the surface of the adjacent plate to provide a unitary structure in preparation for positioning the plate between the opposing faces of a pair of stationary flanges.
