Abstract: The present disclosure introduces an apparatus including a toolstring for use in a tubular extending into a subterranean formation. The toolstring includes modular components that include one or more caliper modules and a power and control (P/C) module. The one or more caliper modules each include radially rotatable fingers for sensing an internal diameter of the tubular. The P/C module is operable for distributing power and control signals to the one or more caliper modules. The caliper and P/C modules are mechanically and electrically interconnected by common lower interfaces of the caliper and P/C modules.

Abstract: A method for correcting an LWD image to remove stick slip features includes obtaining an LWD image in a wellbore. Surface depth measurements may be interpolated to obtain interpolated surface depths at selected ones of the depths in the LWD image and evaluated to obtain a first tool status log. The LWD image may be evaluated to obtain a second tool status log. The two status logs may be synchronized to obtain a synchronized log. A stick slip feature may be identified in the LWD image and the image resampled to remove the stick slip feature from the LWD image.

Abstract: Process for interpreting one or more borehole images for use in drilling operations. In some embodiments, the process can include providing an input borehole image obtained from a downhole measurement provided by one or more downhole sensors. The process can also include collecting contextual information relative to the borehole image and the user. The process can also include using the collected contextual information and a mathematical model to infer one or more processing arguments. The mathematical model can be defined by using previously collected arguments and previously collected contextual information. The process can also include processing the input borehole image with the one or more inferred processing arguments to generate one or more interpreted borehole images. The process can also include adjusting one or more drilling operation based, at least in part, on the one or more interpreted borehole images.
