摘要: Methods of predicting future connectivity of a portable electronic device is described along with systems and devices for implementing the methods. The method includes receiving an indication of a plurality of radio scenes detected at the portable electronic device at different reference times. Each of the plurality of radio scenes identifies transmitters and associated signal strength of signals received by the portable electronic device at the respective reference time. One or more connectivity predictions can be retrieved from a corpus of pairs of a composite signature vector and associated connectivity information. Each of the one or more connectivity predictions can be retrieved based on a similarity between the associated respective composite signature vector and a query composite signature vector. A future connectivity prediction of the portable electronic device can be provided based on the one or more retrieved connectivity predictions.

摘要: A mobile wireless communications device may include a portable housing, and an antenna carried by the portable housing. The mobile wireless communications device may further include wireless communications circuitry carried by the portable housing and an adjustable impedance matching network coupled between the wireless communications circuitry and the antenna. An audio input transducer and an audio output transducer may be carried by the portable housing. The mobile wireless communications device may further include a controller carried by the portable housing and configured to determine an acoustic coupling between the audio input transducer and the audio output transducer. The controller may further be configured to adjust the adjustable impedance matching network based upon the determined acoustic coupling.

摘要: The disclosure is directed to a method, computer program product, or a mobile device configured for obtaining a mobility parameter indicative of a mobility of the mobile device. The mobility parameter may be further utilized to configure the operating state of the mobile device. The mobility parameter is obtained using a multi-sense approach, which utilizes both Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and Frequency Offset (FO) measurements. The mobility parameter is based on statistical parameters relating to the distributions of the RSSI and FO measurements. Various configurations of computer program products, mobile devices and systems are also described.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for matching one or more first entities with one or more of second entities. Factor graph representations of the first entities and a plurality of second entities are stored. The factor graph representation of the plurality of second entities includes an identity variable referencing each of the individual second entities. When a request is received from a requesting one of the first set of entities for a match from the second set of entities, the first factor graph and the second factor graph are merged, and the merged graph is solved for a probability mass function for the identity variable to yield a probability vector to be used to identify those ones of the plurality of second entities having the highest probabilities as matches to be returned in response to the request.

摘要: A system and method for speed measurement of a mobile device, using an speed sensor such as a satellite navigation system or an accelerometer, does not need such speed sensor to be continually activated. The system and method make use of a monitor for monitoring at least one motion indicium for indicating that the speed of the mobile device is above an initial threshold, including but not limited to: monitoring the Doppler shift measurements of a timing signal; monitoring the timing advance of a cellular radio signal; monitoring the number of base stations visible to the mobile device; monitoring the frequency of base station handover, however determined; monitoring the level crossings and/or the autocorrelation of an RSSI signal; and/or triangulation of the position of the mobile device. When the monitor determines that the mobile device may be travelling in excess of a threshold speed, a speed sensor is activated to confirm the indication. If the speed sensor determines that the mobile device is travelling at a speed below a second threshold, the speed sensor is deactivated.

摘要: A system and method are disclosed that allow changes of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) without overhead signaling. A priori, a network device and a user device know the manner in which the MCS will be changed. In one embodiment, the network device indicates the MCS to be used to decode a second portion of a message in a first portion of the message. In another embodiment, the user device blind detects the MCS used over a sub-set of MCSs.
