Abstract: Management and dissemination of information from a controlled-environment facility. In an embodiment, a method may include receiving an identification of each of a plurality of non-residents of a controlled-environment facility with whom a resident of the controlled-environment facility is allowed to communicate, contacting a selected one of the plurality of non-residents and, during the contact, allowing the selected non-resident to establish or fund an account associated with the resident. In another embodiment, a system may be configured to receive identification of a plurality of non-residents of the controlled-environment facility, determine, among the plurality of non-residents, a set of non-residents with whom the resident is allowed to communicate, contact at least one non-resident from the set of non-residents, and provide information to the at least one non-resident during the contact about how to release the resident from the controlled-environment facility.
