    摘要: A damper comprising within a casing filled with viscous fluid a number of movable discs to be moved in response to the transmitted external force and a number of not interlocked fixed discs arranged in an alternative arrangement, wherein both movable and fixed discs are axially deflectable can maintain even clearances between the movable and the fixed discs due to the alignment effect of the discs without undergoing unreasonable stress that can damage the discs. The allowable limit of deflection of the fixed and movable discs can be made adjustable so as to modify the total drag of the damper. Sources of resilient restoring force may be provided to enhance the capability of adjustment. Moreover, the number or the size of the movable and/or the fixed discs can be made alterable to effectively modify the drag of the damper.

In addition, the first arm and mounting therefore to the stationery cabinet portion includes coacting structure by which pivoting movement of the first arm relative to the stationery cabinet portion may be adjustably limited to thereby limit the angular positioning of the cabinet lid when in its full open position.

Thus, the door closer can obviate a concept of mounting the closer body at the door to eliminate necessity of mounting a large closer body at the door by disposing a closer body as a damper at the pivotally securing position of the arm and the adjusting arm, thereby deleting impossibility of mounting the door closer even at a glass engaging door.

    摘要: A damper mechanism which includes a cylinder with a movable shaft therein with the shaft having a swingable valve on the outer surface. The end of the swingable valve will contact the cylinder when the shaft is rotated in one direction to form a nonreturn valve due to its association with a partitioning member having an oil passage to communicate chambers formed on opposite sides of the partitioning member. When the shaft is rotated in one direction with the valve moving toward the partitioning member, rotational movement of the shaft in that direction will be dampened by restricted movement of oil from one chamber to the other. When the shaft is rotated in the opposite direction, the valve moves away from the cylindrical surface thus enabling unrestricted rotational movement of the shaft in the opposite direction.

    摘要: A hinge unit can suitably be used for a portable electronic apparatus such as a portable telephone set comprising a main body and a swing member to be secured to the main body by means of hinges such that the swing member may be folded on the main body for the convenience of storage when not in use and opened from the main body by a desired angle and held to the open position for use. The hinge unit has a simple configuration and hence is compact and lightweight and manufactured at low cost. With each hinge of the hinge unit, a cam shaft 14 is pushed into a spring 13 rigidly secured to the main body 1 along an edge thereof such that the cam shaft 14 becomes axially unreleaseable along axial direction X1. The cam shaft 14 has a protruding section 14g to be fitted into one of the knuckle-shaped end 11b of the swing member 11. As the cam shaft 14 is pushed along axial direction X2, the resilient tips 13a, 13a of the spring 13 ride over the tapered section 14d of the cam shaft 14 and, once the pressure for pushing the cam shaft 14 is released, the protruding section 14 is moved back to the normal position by the resilient force of the resilient tips 13a, 13a, where the cam shaft 14 is turned with the bearing section 11c of the knuckle-shaped end 11b. The resilient tips 13a, 13a pinch the tip-holding areas 14f, 14f of the cam section 14a to hold the swing member 11 in the open position so that the hinge unit does not require the use of two spring members as in the case of comparable known hinge unit.

    摘要: According to the invention, there is provided a damper for a flapdoor that does not show any damping effect when its movable shaft of the damper is rotated with the door in one sense whereas it effectively damps the rotary movement of the flapdoor when the movable shaft is rotated with the door in the other sense, wherein a one-way clutch for engaging or disengaging the movable shaft with a movable member depending on the sense of rotation of the movable shaft to cause a viscous shearing drag in the viscous fluid contained in the damper and a power source constitute so many integral parts of a coil spring. A damper for a flapdoor having such an arrangement can have a simplified configuration as compared with a damper provided with a separate coil spring as power source and a separate one-way clutch and therefore can be realized with reduced dimensions. Moreover, since such a one-way clutch can be prepared from a coil spring without requiring any additional processes and by simply engaging a portion of the coil spring with the movable member, the rest of the coil spring functioning as power source, the damper can be realized at a significantly reduced cost.
