摘要: A recording method for recording on a recording medium, which is a non-white recording medium, includes a white ink adhering step of adhering a white ink containing a white coloring material to the recording medium, and a non-white ink adhering step of adhering a non-white ink containing a non-white coloring material to the recording medium, in which the white ink adhering step and the non-white ink adhering step are performed by causing a recording head to scan the recording medium, the white ink adhering step and the non-white ink adhering step are performed on a region of the recording medium by a scan, and the white ink adhering step and the non-white ink adhering step are performed such that, in the region where the white ink and the non-white ink are adhered, the mass ratio (A/B) of an adhesion amount A of the white coloring material to an adhesion amount B of the non-white coloring material per unit area is 0.03 or more and 0.99 or less.

摘要: A water-based ink jet ink composition includes: a coloring material; and resin, a content of the coloring material being equal to or less than 1.5% by mass with respect to the ink composition, a change in a volume average particle diameter of the resin after mixing a water-mediated solution for the resin and a 0.3 M magnesium sulfate aqueous solution is equal to or less than three times as large as a change in the volume average particle diameter before the mixing, and the ink composition is used by being caused to adhere to a recording medium along with a processing solution that contains a coagulant for coagulating constituents of the ink composition.

摘要: An ink jet recording method is provided for a low or non-absorbable recording medium using a solution containing a colored ink, a clear ink, and an aggregating agent for aggregating constituents in the colored ink. The method includes: causing the solution containing the aggregating agent to adhere to the recording medium; and a main scanning in which the colored and the clear inks are ejected while relative positions of an ink jet head and the recording medium are changed to a main scanning direction, and a sub-scanning in which the relative positions of the ink jet head and the recording medium are changed to a sub-scanning direction. The main scanning involves a region where a recording region in which the colored ink is ejected in the main scanning and a recording region in which the clear ink is ejected in the main scanning overlap one another.

摘要: According to the invention, there is provided a recording method which includes adhering an ink composition to a recording medium, and adhering a reaction liquid to the recording medium, the reaction liquid containing water and a reagent for aggregating or thickening components of the ink composition, and having a pH of 7 to 10. In the adhering of the reaction liquid, an epoxy-based adhesive is used for at least a portion of a reaction liquid passage for supplying the reaction liquid to an ink jet head, and a member in contact with the reaction liquid in the ink jet head, and the reaction liquid is discharged from the ink jet head so as to adhere to the recording medium.

摘要: A recording method is provided including: discharging and adhering a reaction liquid to an ink non-absorbable or ink low-absorbable recording medium in a form of a droplet, by using an ink jet method, the reaction liquid containing a reagent for aggregating or thickening of a colored ink composition; and adhering a colored ink composition to the recording medium to which the reaction liquid has adhered. The recording medium is heated before adhering the colored ink composition to the recording medium, a period from when adhering of the reaction liquid is ended until adhering of the colored ink composition is started is within 30 seconds, and a surface temperature of the recording medium from the adhering of the reaction liquid to the adhering of the colored ink composition is equal to or lower than 38° C.

摘要: An ink jet recording method is provided for recording white and non-white ink compositions onto a moving recording medium. The recording medium includes a first region where both the white and non-white ink compositions are adhered, and a second region where only the white ink composition is adhered. Further, one or both of Conditions (i) and (ii) is satisfied. Condition (i): The amount of the white ink composition adhered in the first region is less than the amount of the white ink composition adhered in the second region. Condition (ii): The number of times the white ink composition is scanned across the first region is less than the number of times the white ink composition is scanned across in the second region.
