Abstract: There are provided a component for a timepiece, a movement, and a timepiece having excellent lubricating oil holding performance. There is provided a component for a timepiece including a sliding surface having a surface tension of 10 to 35 mN/m. It is preferable that when lubricating oil having a surface tension of 25 to 35 mN/m is applied to the sliding surface, an interfacial tension between the sliding surface and the lubricating oil is 0 to 7 mN/m.
