Abstract: A display control device includes a storage configured to store invariant image data serving as a source of displaying an invariant portion of a display image to be displayed on a display; a data receiver configured to receive format designation data for designating a format of the display image and original data for generating variable image data serving as a source of displaying a variable portion of the display image; a variable image data generator configured to generate the variable image data from the original data; a buffer configured to store the invariant image data and the variable image data; an image data storage configured to select the invariant image data from the storage based on the format designation data to store the invariant image data in the buffer, and store, in the buffer, the variable image data generated by the variable image data generator; and a display controller configured to execute display processing for causing the display to display the display image based on the invariant image data stored in the buffer and the variable image data stored in the buffer.

Abstract: A printing system includes: a conveyance controller configured to control a conveyor, the conveyor being configured to convey paper having a printing surface in which label portions are formed at predetermined intervals; a sensor configured to irradiate light on the paper conveyed by the conveyor to detect reflected light of the irradiated light; a detector configured to detect an output of the sensor; a moving average calculator configured to calculate moving averages of voltage values based on the output of the sensor detected by the detector; and a determiner configured to determine that a portion between an adjacent pair of the label portions has been detected based on the moving averages of the voltage values calculated by the moving average calculator, and the output of the sensor.

Abstract: A printing apparatus includes: a user-setting-value acquiring unit configured to acquire a user setting value indicating a remaining amount of paper on a paper roll, the user setting value being set by a user; a first detection unit configured to detect that a physical quantity correlated with a remaining amount of paper on the paper roll has become equal to a first threshold value; a second detection unit configured to detect that the remaining amount of paper on the paper roll has become equal to a second threshold value; a post-detection length acquiring unit configured to acquire a post-detection length being a length of paper used from the paper roll from a time when it is detected that the physical quantity has become equal to the first threshold value until the remaining amount of paper on the paper roll becomes equal to the second threshold value; and a notification unit configured to notify that, when a new paper roll is used and a length of paper used from the new paper roll from a time when it is detected that the physical quantity has become equal to the first threshold value exceeds a reference value obtained by subtracting the user setting value from the post-detection length, a remaining amount of paper on the new paper roll has become equal to the user setting value.

Abstract: A thermal head control device includes: a printing rate calculation range determination unit configured to determine, as a printing rate calculation range, a range from a left-end energization dot to a right-end energization dot among energization dots present in printing data corresponding to heating elements to be controlled among a plurality of heating elements included in a thermal head; a printing rate calculation unit configured to calculate a printing rate of the printing rate calculation range determined by the printing rate calculation range determination unit; an energizing time calculation unit configured to calculate an energizing time for which a current is caused to flow through the heating elements based on the printing rate calculated by the printing rate calculation unit; and an output unit configured to output a control signal for driving the heating elements to be controlled of the thermal head, based on the calculated energizing time.

Abstract: A printer system includes an information processing device; a printer; and a display apparatus, the information processing device being configured to control the printer and the display apparatus. A topology of the information processing device and the display apparatus includes a first topology in which the display apparatus is directly connected to the information processing device and a second topology in which the display apparatus is connected to the information processing device via the printer. The information processing device includes a processor configured to transmit to the display apparatus instruction data for the display apparatus without adding header information to the instruction data in the first topology; and transmit to the printer instruction data for the display apparatus by adding header information to the instruction data in the second topology.
