摘要： A drum for use in a dryer is provided. The drum includes a plurality of segments joined axially to form the drum's cylindrical shape. The drum has a simple structure enabling the use of standardized segments to facilitate dryer manufacture by reducing production costs, increasing productivity, and reducing failure rates. The drum, which has a cylindrical shape, is composed of a plurality of segments, preferably, three, each arranged axially with respect to the axis of the drum. The drum includes a coupling mechanism, provided on each side edge of each segment, for joining the segments to form the cylindrical shape of the drum.

摘要： An assembly between a front cabinet panel and a front support piece in a laundry drier is stably achieved, to improve work efficiency and productivity in a laundry drier fabrication process. The laundry drier has an internally mounted drum and includes a base forming a bottom of a body, a front cabinet panel forming a front side of the body, a pair of side cabinet panels forming opposing lateral sides of the body, a back cover forming a rear side of the body, a top cover covering an upper part of the body, a control panel installed on a rearward end of the top cover, and a front support piece installed behind the front cabinet panel to support a front side of the drier drum. The laundry drier further includes a first support flange extending from an upper portion of the front cabinet panel and having at least one slot formed in a central portion of the first support flange; and a second support flange extending from an upper portion of the front support piece and having at least one hooking portion formed by partially cutting through a predetermined area of the second support flange, to bend the cut area into a hook that protrudes downward, wherein the hook of the second support flange is coupled with the slot of the front cabinet panel, to thereby pre-assemble the front support piece to the front cabinet panel.

摘要： An apparatus for preventing a gap between a blower housing and a connection duct is provided in laundry drier including a base forming a bottom of a body, a front cabinet forming a front side of the body, a pair of opposing lateral cabinet sides, a back cover forming a rear side of the body, a top cover installed on an upper part of the body, a filter cover installed in rear of the front cabinet, a connection duct having an entrance side connected to the filter cover, and a blower installed to be connected to an exit side of the connection duct, which blocks an ancillary air flow to prevent a degradation in drying efficiency and drier performance. The apparatus includes a pressing member provided between the front cabinet and the connection duct to push the connection duct toward the blower to make the connection duct adhere closely to the blower housing.

摘要： A laundry machine having a steam generator is disclosed. A heater is controlled, such that steam generation coincides with a predetermined time period, whereby the steam supply time is enabled to be controlled with relative accuracy. If an error occurs when water is being supplied to the steam generator, then an error message is displayed such that a user may be informed of the error. If a predetermined time period has elapsed, then a pump is stopped to prevent an excessive amount of water from being supplied to the steam generator.

The laundry treating apparatus such as a washing machine, a dryer, a drying and washing machine is an apparatus which washes or dries articles such as clothes. The laundry treating apparatus includes an operation course including a drying process in which hot air is supplied into a drum adapted to accommodate articles to dry the articles and a cooling process in which cool air is supplied into the drum to cool the articles, wherein the operation course further includes a steam process in which steam is supplied into the drum, and the laundry treating apparatus includes a controller which controls a heater adapted to generate the steam such that an operation time point of the heater varies according to an amount of the articles. The laundry treating apparatus includes a drum adapted to accommodate articles, a control panel adapted to provide an interface with a user, and a controller to perform a steam process for supplying steam into the drum, wherein the controller controls a heater adapted to generate the steam to perform the steam process such that an operation time point of the heater varies according to an amount of the articles.
