Abstract:
Disclosed are structure for inlaying precious metal in and outer peripheral surface of a ring and method for manufacturing a ring inlaid with precious metal in an outer peripheral surface. The ring includes a annular blank obtained by compressing a powdered mixture including 80 to 85 weight percent of tungsten carbide in a mold by means of a hydraulic press, and a precious metal inlaid in an outer peripheral surface of the annular blank after sintering the annular blank. An annular groove is formed at an outer peripheral surface of the annular blank, in which the annular groove is defined by sidewalls, which are inwardly inclined in a downward direction, and a bottom wall. Inclined slots having a gradient identical to that of the inclined sidewalls are formed at both lower edge portions of the annular groove, in which the lower edge potions are defined between the bottom wall and the inclined sidewalls. The precious metal is inlaid in the annular groove and the inclined slots in such a manner that an upper surface of the precious metal and the outer peripheral surface of the annular blank is the same level.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a jig and a method for forming a satin surface on an outer peripheral surface of a ring made of a rigid material by processing the outer peripheral surface of the ring using a diamond bite in a state in which inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the ring do not represent a perfect roundness and a center of the outer peripheral surface of the ring is offset from that of the inner peripheral surface of the ring. The method includes the steps of supporting both sides of the ring while rotating the ring, and processing the outer peripheral surface of the ring by using the diamond bite.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for printing a mark on an inner peripheral surface of a ring by using a laser marking apparatus. The laser marking apparatus includes a jig for rotatably supporting the ring, a laser oscillator and a galvano scanner, in which the jig is installed below a laser irradiation port provided in the galvano scanner, grips an outer peripheral surface of the ring such that the ring is inclined at an angle of 5 to 20° with respect to a vertical line, and rotates the ring about a center of the ring as driving force is applied thereto from a stepping motor. The jig is driven such that the jig performs one revolution per 10000 steps of the stepping motor. A plurality of sub-marks having a size of 2 mm are formed by dividing the mark to be printed on the inner peripheral surface of the ring in a transverse direction thereof and the sub-marks are sequentially printed on the inner peripheral surface of the ring through laser irradiation. The jig performs the stepping movement corresponding to each sub-mark having the size of 2 mm.
Abstract:
A compression encoding method which, when performing data conversion using the fact that when data is converted into frequency components, the human eye is sensitive to components close to low frequency components and insensitive to components close to high frequency components, configures a filter in which importance is placed on DC data and its adjacent filter coefficients, calculates the cost for a conversion block which has undergone conversion and quantization, which is required for the data removal of compression encoding using the filter, determines data targets to be removed using the calculated cost and set reference values, and removes the corresponding data, thereby reducing the amount of data to be compressed and therefore increasing compression efficiency without influencing image quality.
Abstract:
A milling unit of a book binding device removes a coating material adhered to cutting surfaces of coating sheets. A book binding device binding a bunch of sheets fed from a sheet aligning unit includes a sheet aligning plate aligning a section of the bunch of sheets fed from the sheet aligning unit; a gripper fixing the bunch of sheets aligned by the sheet aligning plate; an adhesive unit feeding an adhesive member to the section of the bunch of sheets to bind the bunch of sheets; and a milling unit milling the section of the bunch of sheets before the bunch of sheets is subjected to binding by the adhesive unit.
