    Abstract: In an aspect, a braiding machine is provided, and has a set of spool shuttles that each dispense a strand of flexible material under tension. A strand retractor releasably retracts the strands from the spool shuttles. A plurality of shuttle stations at which the spool shuttles can be positioned are arranged in a circuit. At least one shuttle carriage, when driven, repeatedly selects an immediately previously unselected spool shuttle and moves the immediately previously unselected spool shuttle from an associated shuttle station to another shuttle station along the circuit spaced from the associated shuttle station by at least one shuttle station that is intermediate the associated shuttle station and the other shuttle station. At least one spool shuttle is parkable at the at least one shuttle station. A drive arrangement is coupled to the shuttle carriage to drive the shuttle carriage.

    Abstract: A loom assembly includes a base including a storage area and a track, a first part disposed on one side of the base and a slider mounted to the track and spaced apart from the first part. The slider is movable along the track to set a distance between the first part. Each of the slider and the first part include features for holding multiple threads in place for the creation of beaded bracelets. The slider part further includes a top assembly including fingers that are disposed within slots to hold thread or string in place when forming a beaded or threaded item. The fingers are biased against an inner surface of a corresponding slot such that a thread placed within the slot is held between a finger and the wall of the slot.

    Abstract: A gemstone includes a crown, a pavilion, and a girdle disposed between the crown and the pavilion. The surface of the gemstone is generally divided into a number of groups of interlocking facets disposed at a variety of angles. The groups of facets comprising the surface of the crown generally include star facets, upper main crown facets, upper intermediate crown facets, lower main crown facets, lower intermediate crown facets, and upper girdle facets. The upper girdle facets generally abut an upper edge of the girdle. The groups of facets comprising the surface of the pavilion include culet-adjacent facets, lower candle facets, lower main pavilion facets, upper candle facets, upper main pavilion facets, and lower girdle facets. The lower girdle facets generally abut a lower edge of the girdle.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a diamond watch crystal wherein the present invention employs multiple techniques to produce the final product. The method of the present invention initiates with a chemical vapor deposition process wherein a high purity graphite is employed as the source substrate. This step further deploys utilization of gases, temperature and an energy source to facilitate formation of a diamond layer on the substrate. The present invention provides alternate energy sources during the chemical vapor deposition such as but not limited to, microwave plasma, direct current plasma, inductively-coupled plasma and hot filament techniques. The method of the present invention further deploys a high pressure high temperature step subsequent the chemical vapor deposition step. These two steps are repeated wherein the initial latter step includes a diamond seed. A final high pressure high temperature step is utilized to remove impurities prior to cutting and polishing.

    Abstract: An accessory includes a body that has a first hole surrounded by a first inner surface, and a component that has a first hole surrounded by a first inner surface to be engaged with the first inner surface. A method of manufacturing the component includes: a piercing step of forming, by blanking, the second hole through a sheet-like member of which the component is formed; a first reshaping step of swelling the second inner surface into the second hole by compressing a rim portion surrounding the second hole; a shearing step of cutting the component out of the sheet-like member; and a second reshaping step of rounding a tip portion of the second inner surface having swelled by the first reshaping. The second reshaping step includes barreling the component cut out by the shearing.
