摘要:
A concrete wall formwork module comprising a first side wall panel structure including a first grid and a first panel secured to the first grid, a second side wall panel structure including a second grid and a second panel secured to the second grid, and connecting rods having about a same length hingedly interconnecting the first and second side wall panel structures to allow movement thereof between a retracted parallel relationship to a spaced apart parallel relationship. A plurality of such concrete wall formwork modules allow assembling a formwork which is functionally similar to conventional formwork since the facing side wall panel structures are connected in a parallel relationship by the thin spacer connecting rods which allow concrete to freely travel within the formwork. When the first and second side wall panel structures are in the retracted parallel relationship, the concrete wall formwork module is more compact and therefore easier and less costly to transport.

There is disclosed an insulating formwork for casting a concrete wall, the formwork having a pair of sidewalls each of which is made-up of a plurality of coplanar edge-abutting modular panels made of insulating foam material. Each panel has upper and lower edges with coplanar slits provided therealong, and a pair of vertical end edges respectively provided with a tongue-and-groove to form vertical tongue-and-groove joints with other like adjoining panels. A rabbet opens onto the panel inner face and onto the panel lower edge. The panels are interconnected by a first group of angle-irons having vertical branches fitting into the upward slits, of the panels, and horizontal branches, pierced with holes, extending toward the panel inner face. The panels are also interconnected by a second group of angle-irons having vertical branches fitting into the downward slits of the panels and horizontal branches, also pierced with holes, extending toward the panel inner face and overlapping the horizontal branches of the angle-irons of the first group. The holes register together and the tie-rods hold the sidewalls together. The tie-rods have a central portion between the sidewalls and bent end portions extending through the panels. Elbows between the portions fit into the rabbets.

Disclosed is a process for the industrial manufacture of a formwork panel in a continuous manner. In this process, a corrugated reinforcing metal core is manufactured in the form of a continuous metal core band. The metal core band is supplied onto a main conveyor. Simultaneously, a mixture of components that react with each other to make an insulating foam, is prepared and continuously injected at the inlet of the main conveyor. The foam that is being formed and expands along the main conveyor, is compressed so as to form to a continuous main body band having a given height and given thickness. This continuous main body band incorporating the continuous metal core band. Last of all, the continuous main body band and the continuous metal core band incorporated therein are cut at the outlet of the main conveyor to obtain the requested panels.

A formwork is made up of a series of plastic foam modules disposed in the manner of a brick wall and forming a mold into which concrete is poured, the formwork remaining permanently secured to the concrete to produce a concrete wall insulated both on the inside and on the outside. Each module is formed of two identical sections disposed in mirror position. Each module section is a panel having inner spaced ribs which terminate short of the top and bottom panel edges and inserts are embedded in the ribs, having apertures opening in the free spaces formed by the ends of the ribs and the panel edges. Once the two identical module sections are placed in mirror position, at the construction site, they are held together by horizontal tie-rods having hooked ends lockingly engaged in the insert apertures. Adjoining tie-rods, in modules, disposed one over the other, are further interlocked by vertical coupling rods to prevent separation of the modules during pouring of the concrete. Reinforcement bar supports are fixed to these coupling rods, being bent at their ends to form troughs into which horizontal reinforcement bars may be lodged.

Disclosed is a prefabricated concrete formwork module that may be assembled with others similar modules in the manner of a brick wall to form a mold into which concrete is poured. The formwork module has a reinforcing structure preferably made of parallel grids connected by transverse tie-rods. It also has a pair of opposite panels forming spaced apart longitudinal side-walls. It further has arms defining a bridge for providing stability between adjacent modules when assembled to form a wall. Preferably, the panels are made of an insulating material.
