摘要: An earthquake simulating vibration table includes a vibration machine having a vibration table provided on the topside. Paper models are assembled on a model fundamental base that is fixed on the vibration table. The vibration machine is controlled by a computer to produce simulated various-degree earthquakes. A test of anti-seismic strength of the paper models begins with a smallest seismic strength and then the seismic strength increases by degrees until it reaches to a largest level to have all the paper models collapse. The earthquake simulating vibration table is convenient and quick in assembling, economical in cost and able to be popularized to schools to serve as a course of vibration resistance education to elevate students' learning interest.

摘要: A sliding vibration-resisting building model includes a vibration machine having a vibration table provided thereon with a model base. Two vibration-resisting devices are fixed on the model base, and a model chassis is secured on the two vibration-resisting devices and a model testing structure is assembled on the model chassis. The vibration-resisting devices are able to lower the vibration of the model testing structure when the vibration machine carries out simulating earthquakes and reduce the energy received by the structure, able to elevate the vibration resistant strength of buildings.

摘要: A method for testing the vibration-resisting strength of building models includes six steps. Step 1: Students to participate in model making are divided into teams. Step 2: Each team begins to make a building model according to the regulations. Step 3: The building model is weighed with a scale and then assembled on an earthquake-simulating vibration table to be tested. Step 4: The team explains the design concept of the building model before the building model is tested. Step 5: The building model begins to be tested. Step 6: Register the acceleration scores of the building model after testing. Making and testing of building models can elevate students' interest in learning the vibration resistance principles of buildings and stir up students' creativity and thinking ability in methods of vibration resistance and reinforcement of buildings.
