摘要： A slider for the optical head easy to manufacture and having a high degree of freedom is to be provided as a slider for the optical head for recording and/or reproducing a recording medium using the proximity optical field. On a slider member 3, adapted for running on the recording medium in a state of being floated over or contacted with the recording medium, a catadioptric lens 7 is bonded to constitute a slider for the optical head 1. The slider member 3 and the catadioptric lens 7 are connected and optically unified to each other so that the numerical aperture NA of an optical system made up of the slider member 3 and the catadioptric lens 7 is not less than unity. Also, the plane of the focal point of the light incident for the side of the catadioptric lens 7 is designed to be on a recording medium facing surface of the slider member 3.

The catadioptric lens is a concave non-spherical mirror having a concave refractive surface as a first surface S1 , a plane mirror as a second surface S2 and a concave non-spherical mirror arranged coaxially with the concave refractive surface of the first surface S1. The parallel incident light is converged through an aperture in the plane mirror of the second surface S2 on a total reflection plane of the fourth surface S4. The radius of curvature of the first surface S1 and the optical length d from the first surface S1 to the apex of the third surface S3 are set to satisfy the sine condition.

摘要： A liquid container detachably mountable to first and second locking portions of a mounting portion of an apparatus. The liquid container includes a casing for containing liquid and a supply port for supplying the liquid to an ink jet head. At respective first and second sides of the casing, first and second engaging portions are provided, respectively engageable with the first and second locking portions. A supporting member displaceably supports the second engaging portion, and a contact is contactable to a member provided in the mounting portion to permit of display information relating to the liquid container. The supply port is disposed in a third side of the casing which is between the first and second sides, and the contact is disposed at a corner region between the second and third sides.

摘要： A liquid container detachably mountable to a mounting portion of an ink jet recording apparatus, the liquid container including a casing defining a liquid containing chamber, an electrical contact, a light emitter, a display portion for directing emitted light to an outside of the liquid container, and an information storing portion for storing information relating to the liquid container.
