    摘要: In a color cathode ray tube, a panel having a single faceplate is coupled to a plurality of necks through a plurality of funnels, respectively. A plurality of electron gun assemblies are received in necks and a plurality of deflection units are mounted around the funnels, respectively. A screen is formed on an inner surface of faceplate and has a plurality of continuous segment regions each of which is scanned with the electron beams emitted from the corresponding electron gun assembly and deflected by the corresponding deflection unit. A shadow mask is so supported in the panel as to face the faceplate. The electron gun assemblies adjacent each other so arranged as to have a relative distance GS between the central axis thereof:GS=m.multidot.SG[(n-1)Ph+d]/Phwhere SG is a relative distance on the deflection plane, between the electron beams emitted from each of said electron gun assembly, d is a distance between predetermined effective apertures of the shadow mask through which the predetermined electron beams pass, the predetermined electron beams landing on endmost adjacent effective phosphor elements in each two adjacent ones of said segment regions, and m and n are integers, respectively.

    摘要: In a color cathode ray tube, a vacuum envelope is provided with a plurality of necks and a plurality of funnels for coupling the respective neck to a single panel. A plurality of electron gun assemblies are received in the neck, respectively and a plurality of deflection yokes are mounted around the funnels, respectively. A screen is formed on the inner surface of the faceplate of the panel and is defined by a plurality of continuous segment regions each of which is scanned with electron beams from the corresponding electron gun assembly and deflected by corresponding deflection yoke. A shadow mask is received in the panel and is faced to the screen. The shadow mask has a plurality of effective row and column regions corresponding to the segment regions and a noneffective region for surrounding and partitioning the respective segment regions.

    摘要: A color cathode ray tube with a shadow mask has a screen partitioned into a plurality of elemental screen areas and electron guns positioned and corresponding to the respecting elemental screen areas, the electron guns generating electron beams to scan the screen. The shadow mask includes effective regions having a number of apertures passed through by the electron beams to impinge on the screen and a non-effective region adjacent to the effective regions. Phosphors as a signal source are deposited on the non-effective regions or the boundaries between the elemental screen areas to emit a light signal by electron beam excitation. A photo-electric transducer is provided facing the shadow mask and to detect the light signal for feed back to a deflection system to control the electron beam deflection.

    摘要: A color cathode ray tube (CRT) arrangement utilizing only a single electron gun. A single electron beam, emitted from the single gun, is deflected in such a manner as to simulate the three electron beams that would normally be provided by three separate electron guns in a conventional CRT arrangement. The single electron beam is electrostatically deflected by electrodes according to a three stage cycle to simulate three electron beams directed in different directions. The simulated electron beams are deflected by a supplemental coil to correct for convergence error. The three electron beams are deflected by the main deflection coils of the tube's yoke and then pass through apertures of the tube's shadow mask to impinge on phosphor stripes of a screen formed on a face plate of the tube.

The shadow mask has setting openings through which the positioning posts extend so as to position the shadow mask at a predetermined position with respect to the rear plate.

A mask support mechanism for supporting a shadow mask in the envelope comprises first mask support members fixed to the inner surface of the rear plate and situated to face first longitudinal ends of the phosphor layers, second mask support members fixed to the inner surface of the rear plate and situated to face second longitudinal ends of the phosphor layers, and central mask support members fixed to the inner surface of the rear plate and situated between the first and second support portions. The shadow mask is supported on the mask support members while being applied with a tensile force in the longitudinal direction of the phosphor layers.

    摘要: In a color picture tube apparatus having a first auxiliary deflecting means for deflecting a single electron beam, emitted from a cathode, in a direction to separate from the tube axis in synchronism with switching among a plurality of video signals supplied to an electron gun, and splitting the single electron beam substantially into a plurality of beam segments, and a second auxiliary deflecting means, disposed between the first auxiliary deflecting means and a main deflecting unit, for deflecting the plurality of beam segments in a direction to come close to the tube axis, the first auxiliary deflecting means is constituted by an electrostatic deflecting lens provided to an accelerating electrode system between a control electrode and a focusing electrode of the electron gun, and the second auxiliary deflecting means is constituted by a main electron lens of the electron gun for finally focusing the electron beam segments on a phosphor screen. Accordingly, the entire length of the picture tube can be shortened, and the auxiliary deflecting power can be reduced as well as the manufacturing cost.
