摘要： A machine tool 1 has a support body 11, moving bodies 12, 13, 14, 15 with an engagement member 12a having an engagement hole 12b, a guide mechanism 20 for guiding the movement of the moving bodies 12, 13, 14, 15, a guide rail 31 provided along the moving direction of the moving bodies 12, 13, 14, 15 on the support body 11, a moving member 32 having a moving member body 33 engaged with the guide rail 31 and an engagement shaft 34 provided on the moving member body 33 and engaged with the engagement hole 12b and a collar member 35 provided on the tip portion of the engagement shaft 34, and a compressing spring 38 in which the engagement shaft 34 is inserted and which energizes the engagement member 12a. The engagement member 12a is provided on the opposite side to the moving body 14.

摘要： A workpiece centering apparatus 1 is provided on a lathe having a spindle 33, an independent chuck 34, and upper and lower tool rests 37, 41, and has sandwiching members 11, 12 mounted to the tool rests 37, 41, respectively, and capable of contacting the outer peripheral surface of a workpiece W, and a centering control section 15 for moving the tool rests 37, 41 and thereby moving the sandwiching members 11, 12 to their respective centering positions which are the positions of the sandwiching members 11, 12 when the center position of a portion to be machined of the workpiece W coincides with the axis of the spindle 33 in a state where the portion to be machined of the workpiece W is being sandwiched and held by the sandwiching members 11, 12, and then causing the independent chuck 34 to grip the workpiece W.

摘要： Tool rest enabling tool holders to be installed quickly and easily onto, and precisely aligned with respect to, the tool-rest turret. The turret (30) is a rotatably supported, polygonal columnar component onto the peripheral surface of which the tool holders are detachably/reattachably mounted. A first key (32), second key (33), and third key (34) having parallel side engagement surfaces (32a), (33a), (34a) are formed protruding from the tool holder mounting surfaces (30a) on the outside of the turret 30. The engagement surfaces (32a), (34a) of the first key (32) and third key (34) are parallel to each other, and the engagement surfaces (33a) of the second key (33) are perpendicular to the engagement surfaces (32a) of the first key (32). Key slots in which the keys (32), (33), (34) are inserted and which engage the engagement surfaces (32a), (33a), (34a) of the keys are formed in the turret mounting face.
