    摘要： A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool and a waterproof member. The reel body includes a first side plate and a second side plate. The spool includes a bobbin trunk and a first flange. The bobbin trunk is rotatably disposed between the first side plate and the second side plate. The first flange is provided on a first side plate-side end of the bobbin trunk and has a larger diameter than the bobbin trunk. The waterproof member has an annular shape and is disposed in a first side plate-side position in the reel body. Additionally, the first flange includes a rib having an annular shape. The rib extends axially outward from the first flange and has a smaller diameter than an outermost diameter part of the first flange. The waterproof member is disposed in adjacent opposition to an inner peripheral surface of the rib of the first flange.

    摘要： A fishing reel waterproof structure prevents water intrusion into a bearing member that supports an end of a handle shaft to make the end of the handle shaft rotatable respective to a reel body. The fishing reel waterproof structure includes a flange part, a fixation plate, a seal member and a water stop part. The flange part is on the handle shaft in a vicinity of the end of the handle shaft. The fixation plate restricts axial movement of the bearing member. The fixation plate has an annular shape and is fixed to the reel body. An inner peripheral part of the fixation plate is disposed between the flange part and the bearing member to contact a lateral surface of the bearing member. The seal member seals between the reel body and the fixation plate. The water stop part prevents water intrusion between the flange part and the fixation plate.

    摘要： A dual-bearing reel is provided that basically includes a reel main body, a spool, a clutch operating member and a first barrier portion. The reel main body has a first side plate and a second side plate. The second side plate is disposed at a distance from the first side plate in an axial direction. The clutch operating member is movably supported on the reel main body in a vertical direction between the first side plate and the second side plate behind the spool. The clutch operating member switches between a transmitting and disconnecting of a rotational force to the spool. The first barrier portion is provided on one of the clutch operating member and the reel main body. The first barrier portion prevents the fishing line from entering between the clutch operating member and the first side plate of the reel main body.

    摘要： A clutch control mechanism configured to allow or block a transmission of a rotation of a handle to a spool in response to either a rotating of the handle or an operating of a clutch operating member. The clutch control mechanism includes a clutch cam, a clutch plate, and a positioning structure. The clutch cam is rotatably mounted to the reel unit, and is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The first position blocks the transmission of the rotation of the handle. The second position allows the transmission of the rotation of the handle. The clutch plate is coupled to the clutch operating member and to the clutch cam, and is unitarily rotatable with the clutch cam. The positioning structure to position the clutch cam from outside in a radial direction about a rotational axis of the clutch cam when the clutch cam is disposed in the first position.

The first elastic member is mounted on the outer circumferential surface of the spool shaft. The first shaft bearing includes an inner race that has an inner circumferential surface that contacts the first elastic member, and an outer race. The pressing member is pressed by the pinion gear in a first direction and approaches a first end when the pinion gear is in the decoupled position. The second elastic member is disposed between the pressing member and the outer race of the first shaft bearing, and the pressing member is pressed by the pinion gear when the pinion gear is in the decoupled position, thereby pressing the outer race of the first shaft bearing in the first direction.
