摘要： An upper member of a housing and a plurality of key actuators are unified into a single flat sheet made of stainless steel. The respective key actuators are made movable by providing a "U" shaped slot and a hinge at the corresponding limited regions of the stainless steel sheet. The hinge and key indicia are formed at the same time by a half etching step. When a particular one of the key actuators is actuated, a movable contact on a conductive silicon rubber sheet will come into contact with a stationary contact on a circuit board.

摘要： The body of an electronic calculator comprising a keyboard, an arithmetic processor unit, a power supply and a digital display is accommodated within a casing at least a portion of which corresponding to the keyboard is made of a single flexible flat sheet such as cloth and leather. A plurality of limited regions of the flat sheet are given unique symbols and indicators corresponding to respective ones of keys of the keyboard by a printing technique for example, whereby the flexible flat sheet serving as manually operable key tops or actuators. When depressing a specific limited region of the key flat sheet, its associated elastomeric connector comes into contact with a comb shaped counter connector contact formed on a printed circuit board. Such an arrangement provides a keyboard with no protruding key tops for a totally new dimension in slimness and portability of calculators.

摘要： A substantially thin keyboard for use in credit card sized clock calculators or the like includes a rigid plate carrying a plurality of stationary key contacts, a flexible member integral with a plurality of electrically conductive rubber movable contacts and a keyboard surface member, all of which are stacked in the named order. An indicia sheet is interposed between the flexible member and the keyboard surface member, which carries a plurality of groups of key indicia or markings. A slide switch is movably attached so as to shift the key indicia carried on the sheet in relation to the plurality of the stationary key contacts group by group. Masking members are secured on part of the keyboard surface member to conceal all the groups of the key indicia from view other than one group of the key indicia is presented in register with the stationary key contacts.

摘要： A pen receptacle for detachably receiving an input pen for use in inputting information into an information processor includes a processor housing having a chamber defined therein for receiving the input pen, a retaining member for retaining the input pen inside the chamber, a locking member for locking the retaining member at a predetermined position where the input pen is retained inside the chamber, and a spring for biasing the retaining member in a direction required for the input pen to be ejected out of the chamber. By this construction, the input pen can be easily removed out of the chamber merely by pushing the input pen locked at the predetermined position.
