Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus having a feeding unit that feeds a document; a first scanning unit, which scans one face of the document fed, and which scans a document set on a document platen; a second scanning unit that scans the other face of the document fed; an instructing unit that, during a scanning operation being performed by a preceding-document scanning unit, which is one of the first scanning unit and the second scanning unit, instructs an other of the first scanning unit and the second scanning unit to scan a document not being scanned by the preceding-document scanning unit; and an executing unit that executes a scanning operation by a following-document scanning unit that is the other of the first scanning unit and the second scanning unit when the instructing unit instructs the other of the first scanning unit and the second scanning unit to start the scanning operation.
Abstract:
An image processing device includes an image processing portion, a reception portion, a determining portion and a stopping portion. The image processing portion is configured to execute a plurality of jobs in parallel. Each job requires at least one of a reading process for reading a manuscript, a printing process for printing an image, a facsimile transmission process for transmitting facsimile data and a facsimile reception process for receiving facsimile data. The reception portion is configured to receive a stop request of a job. The determining portion is configured to determine one of a plurality of running jobs as one that is to be stopped when a plurality of jobs are executed at the time of reception of the stop request, and to give a priority to a job that is executed in a state of a high stop emergency degree over a job that is executed in a state of a low stop emergency degree when determining a job that is to be stopped. The stopping portion is configured to stop execution of the job that is determined as one that is to be stopped by the determining portion.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a reading unit, a feeding unit, a carriage holding the reading unit, a motor, a motor-side transmission gear, a feeding unit-side transmission gear, a carriage-side transmission gear, a switching gear which switches between a meshing state of meshing with the feeding unit-side transmission gear at a feeding unit-side position and a meshing state of meshing with the carriage-side transmission gear at a carriage-side position, a restraint member which applies a restraint force for restraining the switching of the switching gear, and a motor control unit which when switching the switching gear between the carriage-side position and the feeding unit-side position, executes a large torque control of controlling the motor to generate a switching torque which is larger than a moving reading torque to be generated by the motor at a time of document reading when executing a moving reading.
Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus includes: a feeding unit; an upstream scanning unit that scans an image of one surface of the document; a downstream scanning unit, which is arranged at a downstream side, and which scans an image of the other surface of the document; a memory unit, which stores both data of the upstream scanning unit and data of the downstream scanning unit; and a control unit that controls the document feeding by performing one of a first feeding process and a second feeding process, wherein the first feeding process is a feeding process in which the upstream scanning unit starts to scan a following document while the downstream scanning unit scans a preceding document, and wherein the second feeding process is a feeding process in which the upstream scanning unit starts to scan the following document after the downstream scanning unit scans the preceding document.
