    摘要: A measuring head attached to a machine tool is swiveled by a predetermined angle. A reference sphere is then measured by the measuring head from a first direction and a second direction. Accordingly, coordinates of a center point of the reference sphere are acquired. First machine coordinates of the measuring head are coordinates when the measuring head measures the center point of the reference sphere from a first direction. Second machine coordinates of the measuring head are coordinates when the measuring head measures the center point of the reference sphere from a second direction. A 3-dimensional offset of the measuring head is acquired, based on the first machine coordinates and the second machine coordinates of the measuring head. Subsequently, the workpiece is measured by the measuring head, by using the 3-dimensional offset of the measuring head. As a result, the 3-dimensional offset of the measuring head is acquired, and thereby the workpiece can be measured by the measuring head because the measurement function intrinsic to the measuring head is effectively used without separately using another measuring instrument.

    摘要: A workpiece measuring apparatus has an external module provided outside an NC device to acquire position data of one or more movable axes of a movable unit having a measuring head attached thereto. The position data of the measuring head is acquired at the same time interval as that for the distance measurement by the measuring head. The position of the workpiece is acquired by calculation from the acquired distance measurement data and the position data of the measuring head. The continuous shape of the workpiece can be measured by performing continuous measurement while moving the measuring head. Therefore, no modification or change is required such as adding a new function to the NC device. In addition, the present invention is applicable to any machine tool equipped with an NC device of any configuration, without being restricted by constraints of the NC device.

    摘要: Relative movement in X, Y and Z axis directions is made between a main spindle and a table 6 for application in a machine tool in which a work is machined. An emitting element 12 for irradiating laser beam 11 and a photosensitive element 13 are disposed on the table 6. A measuring tool 8 with its top end being shaped as a cone form is attached to the main spindle 4. The laser beam 11 is interrupted with the cone form portion 15 of the measuring tool 8 through relative movement between the table 6 and measuring tool 8 before and after machining a work. Detection signal of interruption is generated at the moment of interruption, position is detected, operation processing is performed so that difference in X, Y and Z axes before and after machining is obtained along with values for correction. Positional coordinate values for three axis directions are detected simultaneously with a measuring device of a simple constitution by use of laser beam and values for correction such as of thermal displacement is obtained by operation processing of displacement values.
