摘要: A method of processing a workpiece to divide the workpiece into a plurality of device chips includes a dividing step of dividing a workpiece held on a holding table to produce a plurality of device chips from the workpiece, an image capturing step of capturing an image of the workpiece while the dividing step is being carried out or after the dividing step has been carried out, a detecting step of detecting from the image whether there is a chip fly-off from the workpiece or not and a chip fly-off region where a chip fly-off has occurred, and a warning step of warning of at least either one of a cause of the chip fly-off and a countermeasure against chip fly-offs.

摘要: An apparatus for laser machining is provided including a stage for supporting a substrate and a controller for generating an error compensation table, a motor driver for moving the stage, and an error compensation unit for generating a table to compensate for an error. The error compensation unit includes a grid plate disposed on the stage and an imaging unit for imaging the grid plate. The motor driver outputs a position synchronization signal to the imaging unit according to a position of the stage. The imaging unit receives the position synchronization signal from the motor driver and images the grid plate while moving the stage.

摘要: An execution plan segment of an execution plan can be received at a control unit of a computer numerically controlled machine from a general purpose computer. The execution plan segment can define operations for causing movement of a moveable head of the computer numerically controlled machine to deliver electromagnetic energy to effect a change in a material within an interior space of the computer numerically controlled machine. The execution plan segment can include a predefined safe pausing point from which the execution plan can be restarted while minimizing a difference in appearance of a finished work-product relative to if a pause and restart are not necessary. Operations of the computer numerically controlled machine can be commenced only after determining that the execution plan segment has been received up to and including the predefined safe pausing point by the computer numerically controlled machine.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a datum selection method for minimizing hole position errors in group hole machining of large components, comprising: 1) determining a type of a computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool and establishing a topological structure of the CNC machine tool; 2) establishing a theoretical postural model of a tool center point during a motion; 3) establishing a hole position error model; 4) establishing an average error model of hole positions in group hole machining; and 5) obtaining a machining datum for group holes of corresponding components. For the skeleton and skinned group hole machining of aircraft components, different principles of datum selection are provided respectively, which can effectively improve the positional accuracy of the skeleton or skinned group hole machining, at the same time provides a more scientific and reasonable approach for the datum selection in group hole machining of large components.

摘要: Methods and systems for characterizing holes in a combustor liner of a gas turbine engine, and associated repair methods are provided. One method comprises receiving first measured data of the combustor liner in an uncoated state. The method includes determining a first location and a first orientation of a first hole and a first location and a first orientation of a second hole in the combustor liner using the first measured data. The method includes receiving second measured data of the combustor liner in a coated state where the second hole is at least partially obstructed by a coating and the first hole is substantially unobstructed by the coating. The method includes inferring a second location of the second hole of the combustor liner in the coated state using a known spacing between the first location of the first hole and the first location of the second hole. The characterization of the holes may be used to re-drill the obstructed second hole.

摘要: A frame is described for positioning a battery using a vision system to determine at least one weld point on the battery. The frame includes at least one visual reference feature detectable by the vision system. The reference feature is used by the vision system to determine the weld point(s). For example, the at least one visual reference feature includes a pair of stubs that define a line, and the at least one weld point is determined based on the line. In a further example, the pair of stubs correspond to respective batteries, which are arranged adjacent to one another within the frame. In a further example, respective centers of the stubs are lined up along a center line extending from respective centers of respective end faces of the respective batteries. The vision system includes vision circuitry, processing circuitry coupled to the vision circuitry, and a weld system.

摘要: A method for calibrating a computer-numerically-controlled machine can include capturing one or more images of at least a portion of the computer-numerically-controlled machine. The one or more images can be captured with at least one camera located inside an enclosure containing a material bed. A mapping relationship can be created which maps a pixel in the one or more images to a location within the computer-numerically controlled machine. The creation of the mapping relationship can include compensating for a difference in the one or more images relative to one or more physical parameters of the computer-numerically-controlled machine and/or a material positioned on the material bed. Related systems and/or articles of manufacture, including computer program products, are also provided.
