摘要： A method and a device for applying an adhesive to an elastic string-like material capable of performing continuous application operation without stopping the application operation by automatically jumping the knot of the elastic string-like material form a running line for the material at a slit groove 202 in a coater applying head. A slide guide body 210 positioned at a front side of the slit plate 201 in a transfer direction, having a detection guide groove 211 with a width of allowing the elastic string-like material to pass through but inhibiting the knot from passing through, and having a second expanded part 205 positioned at a part protruded from a tip end of the slide guide body 210 at a tip end extension part of the slit groove 202 of said slit plate 201, with a width of allowing the knot to pass through.
