    摘要: This invention provides an optical disc drive with more accurate and stable power control for a laser light source. An optical disc drive in an embodiment of this invention includes a monitor photodetector for receiving laser light emitted by a laser light source to monitor the laser light power. The monitor diode is a photodetector for generating an electric signal corresponding to the laser light power. A laser light controller controls drive current to the laser light source based on a result of measurement by the monitor diode. The optical disc drive measures output variations of the monitor diode and controls the gain of the monitor diode based on the result of the measurement. This gain control improves accuracy and stability in laser light control so that stability in recording/reading can be attained.

    摘要: This invention provides an optical disc drive with more accurate and stable power control for a laser light source. An optical disc drive in an embodiment of this invention includes a monitor photodetector for receiving laser light emitted by a laser light source to monitor the laser light power. The monitor diode is a photodetector for generating an electric signal corresponding to the laser light power. A laser light controller controls drive current to the laser light source based on a result of measurement by the monitor diode. The optical disc drive measures output variations of the monitor diode and controls the gain of the monitor diode based on the result of the measurement. This gain control improves accuracy and stability in laser light control so that stability in recording/reading can be attained.

    摘要: The present invention shortens a time to be elapsed from a recording interruption to a recording restart, thereby realizing a reliable recording restart. In one embodiment, an optical disk apparatus comprises an optical pickup and a processor, which includes a reproduction system circuit, a speed information detection circuit, and a position detection circuit. The reproduction system circuit is configured to generate a reproduction signal used in restarting recording of the optical disk after an interruption, based on the electrical signal from the optical pickup and setting values. The speed information detection circuit is configured to detect speed information before or after an interruption of a recording on the optical disk based on the electrical signal from the optical pickup. The position detection unit is configured to detect a recording restart position and a current position of the optical disk. An accessing unit is configured to control the optical pickup to access the optical disk at the recording restart position from the current position of the optical disk. A setting unit is configured to set in the reproduction system circuit setting values based on the detected speed information. The setting values are used by the reproduction system circuit to generate the reproduction signal.

    摘要: To eliminate scratches on a disc surface of an optical disc in an emergency eject operation, there is provided an optical disc apparatus including: an emergency eject detector for detecting an emergency eject instruction; a rotation speed detector for producing a signal corresponding to the rotation speed of the optical disc; and a logical circuit unit which is operated by a first signal from the emergency eject detector and a second signal from the rotation speed detector, and when the second output signal is not more than a reference level, produces a third signal so as to input a control signal for instructing stop of the actuator control into an actuator controller. After detection of the emergency eject instruction, the apparatus performs the actuator control without producing the third signal until the rotation speed is not more than a predetermined value. Thus the objective lens is made in a focus control state or in a saving state in which the objective lens is separated from the disc surface.

Determination is performed based upon the amplitude of the push-pull tracking error signal, when the amplitude of the push-pull tracking error signal is larger than a predetermined value, the optical disc is judged as DVD-RAM and when the amplitude is smaller than the predetermined value, the optical disc is judged as DVDRW.

    摘要: A wiring structure to supply power to a license light provided in a two-wheeled vehicle includes a wire, a connector, a vehicle-body-side harness, and a plug. The wire is connected to the license light attached to a fender support. The fender support is attached to a back surface of a rear fender which is detachably attached to a vehicle body. The connector is attached to a leading end of the wire and to the fender support. The vehicle-body-side harness is fastened to a vehicle-body frame with a fastener at a position lower than an attachment position of the connector. The vehicle-body-side harness extends upward toward the connector. The plug is provided to the vehicle-body-side harness and is connected to the connector to supply power from the vehicle body to the license light.
