    摘要: An optical waveguide sensor includes a substrate and an optical waveguide. The optical waveguide includes a core and a lateral clad. The core extends in a spiral shape above a surface of the substrate. The lateral clad is disposed in a same layer as the core above the surface of the substrate and is in contact with either side surfaces of the core. At least a part of a surface of the core located opposite from the substrate is a transmission surface from which light leaks and is absorbed by a detected object.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell superior in safety against overcharge and in high-temperature cycle characteristic is provided. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a pressure sensitive safety mechanism that is actuated upon increase in the cell internal pressure. The positive electrode contains lithium carbonate at 0.5 to 1.5 mass %. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a cycloalkyl benzene compound and/or a compound having a benzene ring and a quaternary carbon adjacent to the benzene ring, the compound or compounds being contained at 0.5 to 2 mass % in total.
