    摘要: A sealed cell has a sealing body with a space-saving safety valve that has excellent safety. The sealing body includes a terminal cap and a safety valve. The terminal cap includes one or more gas releasing holes for releasing a gas from inside to outside of the cell. The gas releasing holes are provided in the external terminal. A safety valve includes a conductive contact portion projecting toward an inside of the sealed cell, a peripheral portion in a periphery of the conductive contact portion, and one or more break grooves formed radially in the peripheral portion. At least one of the gas releasing holes overlap with at least one of break grooves in planar view of the sealed cell.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a sealed cell including a sealing body having a safety valve that is excellent in conductivity. The sealed cell is sealed by caulking a sealing body 10 around an opening of a bottomed cylindrical outer can 20. The sealing body 10 includes a terminal cap 5 made of an iron-based material and a safety valve 3 made of an aluminum-based material.The terminal cap 5 includes an external terminal 5a projecting toward an outside of the sealed cell, a flange 5b in a periphery of the external terminal, and a hole 5c in the flange. The hole 5c has a diameter smaller on an inner side than on an outer side of the sealed cell.The safety valve 3 includes a conductive contact portion 3a projecting toward an inside of the sealed cell, a peripheral portion 3b in a periphery of the conductive contact portion 3a, and a pin-like projection 3c in the peripheral portion 3b. The sealed cell has a riveted portion in which the pin-like projection 3c of the safety valve 3 and the hole 5c of the terminal cap 5 together are riveted by inserting the pin-like projection 3c into the hole 5c and crushing a tip of the pin-like projection 3c. And a diameter of the terminal cap 5 is larger than a diameter of the safety valve 3.

    摘要: A sealed battery according to the present invention includes a sealing body 18A having a terminal cap 19′ made of an iron-based material and a safety valve 25 made of an aluminum-based material. In the sealing body 18A, at least one of the flange of the terminal cap 19′ and the flange of the safety valve 25 has a portion defining a space 30. The flanges of the terminal cap and of the safety valve are welded at a position corresponding to the space with high-energy rays. It is thus possible to provide the sealed battery including the sealing body having a current interrupt function in which resistance between the terminal cap and the safety valve is kept low, thereby being suitable for large-current applications.
