摘要: The invention provides a thermoelectric element produced by placing a powder of thermoelectric material over an electrode plate first and then an electrode plate over the power to form superposed layers, and thereafter sintering the powder with a pressure applied thereto perpendicular to the superposed layers. The electrode plates and the thermoelectric material are joined into an integral assembly before fabricating a thermoelectric module. The invention provides a thermoelectric module which is produced by arranging p-type thermoelectric elements and n-type thermoelectric elements alternately in a row at a predetermined interval, each of the elements comprising a thermoelectric material provided between and joined to a pair of opposed electrode plates, and interconnecting pairs of spaced adjacent upper electrode plates and pairs of spaced adjacent lower electrode plates alternately by brazing to electrically connect the p-type and n-type thermoelectric elements in series. Another thermoelectric module of the invention is fabricated by preparing a plurality of submodules each comprising p-type thermoelectric elements and n-type thermoelectric elements arranged alternately in an elongated row and electrically connected in series through electrode plates, arranging the submodules side by side suitably, and brazing the electrode plate of the p-type thermoelectric element at an end position of each submodule to the electrode plate of the n-type thermoelectric element at a corresponding end position of another submodule adjacent to the submodule so as to electrically connect the plurality of submodules in series.

摘要: A method and apparatus for recognizing a Korean character to be assembled from an inputted Korean alphabet row and an apparatus therefor includes, in the method the steps of judging whether an inputted Korean alphabet row is monoconsonants or double consonants among consonants and judging whether it is horizontal vowels or vertical vowels among vowels, and assembling a Korean character on the basis of a judgement as to whether any combination of monoconsonants is possible or any combination of horizontal vowels and vertical vowels is possible and a judgement as to whether any double consonant can be arranged as the final consonant in conformity with the assembled status of the Korean alphabet row previously inputted. Moreover, the apparatus performs all of the above judgement processing and of processings following the respective judgement processings, and processes the above recognition processing by making use of a hardware interrupt and software interrupt for each key input of the individual Korean alphabet rows.

摘要: A cable car type vehicle arrester features a pair of trumpet bars which are interconnected by a link which either maintains the distance between the bars constant or reduces same upon one of the bars being deflected outboard of its home or rest position. This reduces the free swinging time of the vehicle between bars and increases the distance through which the bars subsequent to the initial deflection are deflectable by the vehicle. This accordingly increases the stroke of shock absorbers associated with the bars increasing the conversion of the kinetic energy of the vehicle. Casters can be provided to support the bars to allow longer lighter bars with less robust bearing and structural members. The casters can be run on a corrugated surface to cam the bars vertically further increasing the kinetic energy conversion and endow a self-centering action on the arrester. Extensions on the trumpet bars which are coextensive with guide rails on the station are simultaneously engageable with a roller or rollers on the vehicle for forcing the trumpet bars back to a centered or home position.
