摘要: A thermal energy storage is provided comprising a housing, a thermal energy storage structure arranged within the housing, the thermal energy storage structure comprising thermal energy storage elements and a plurality of dividing elements, the plurality of dividing elements being arranged such that the thermal energy storage elements are divided into a plurality of layers, a fluid inlet, the fluid inlet being in fluid communication with the housing and adapted to receive a working fluid and provide a flow of working fluid towards the housing, and a convection reducing structure arranged adjacent the thermal energy storage structure at a side of the thermal energy storage structure that faces the fluid inlet. Furthermore, a method of storing thermal energy and a steam power plant for producing electrical energy are described.

摘要: A heat accumulator for storing thermal energy may include a container with a horizontally-extending longitudinal axis, and a heat storage material in the form of a plurality of stone-like elements contained in the container. The container may include a first opening formed at a first portion of the container, and a second opening formed at a second portion of the container, the second opening being vertically offset with respect to the first opening. An average diameter of the stone-like elements arranged in the first portion of the container may be larger than an average diameter of the stone-like elements arranged in the second portion of the container.

摘要: High temperature thermal energy exchange system with horizontal heat exchange chamber and method for exchanging thermal energy by using the high temperature thermal energy exchange systemA high temperature thermal energy exchange (heat) exchange system is provided. The high temperature thermal energy exchange system comprises at least one horizontal heat exchange chamber with chamber boundaries which surround at least one heat exchange chamber interior of the heat exchange chamber, wherein the chamber boundaries comprise at least one inlet opening for guiding in an inflow of at least one heat transfer fluid into the heat exchange chamber interior and at least one outlet opening for guiding out an outflow of the heat transfer fluid out of the heat exchange chamber interior, at least one heat storage material is arranged in the heat exchange chamber interior such that a heat exchange flow of the heat transfer fluid through the heat exchange chamber interior causes a heat exchange between the heat storage material and the heat transfer fluid and the heat high temperature thermal energy exchange system is developed such that horizontal heat exchange flows of the heat transfer fluid through the heat exchange chamber interior differ from each other in vertical direction. The horizontal heat exchange flows are different in vertical direction of the heat exchange chamber. The heat transfer fluid is led into heat exchange channels via the inlet openings and is led out of the heat exchange channels via the outlet openings. Preferably, the heat transfer fluid is air with ambient pressure. An operating temperature of the high temperature thermal energy exchange system is more than 600° C.

摘要: To configure a machine controller for a machine, a plurality of state signals of a first state space is read in, each state signal being assigned an optimized control signal. Using the state signals, a first signal converter is trained to convert state signals from the first state space into a second state space which is dimension-reduced in comparison with the first state space. A second signal converter is trained to reproduce corresponding optimized control signals by converting reduced state signals by means of the conversion rule. Thus, the machine controller is designed to convert a state signal of the machine into a reduced state signal by means of the trained first signal converter and to convert the reduced state signal into an optimized control signal by means of the trained second signal converter, the optimized control signal being used to control the machine.
