摘要： A sound attenuation device for vehicle wheels, in particular for wheels of rail vehicles, includes a ring assembly having at least one open first ring and one open second ring, between which a viscoelastic first layer or an open elastic ring is arranged, wherein at least the first ring is clampable in a recess in a wheel body of a wheel having the wheel body, wherein in order to create advantageous construction conditions, a closure piece is connected to the ring assembly, where the closure piece is arranged in an opening between a first end of the ring assembly and a second end of the ring assembly, such that the ring assembly is secured mechanically.
