    摘要： A system and method are disclosed for conducting an auction in a peer-to-peer network. In one example, the method includes initiating the auction by notifying a p-commerce server of the auction's start time, end time, and item being auctioned. A bid is received for the auction directly from another endpoints, and all endpoint that have previously submitted a bid in the auction are directly notified of the received bid. The p-commerce server is instructed to stop the auction after a determination is made that the auction has ended. A highest bid from the submitted bids is identified and the endpoint that submitted the highest bid is directly notified that it has won the auction.

    摘要： A system and method are disclosed for advertising in a peer-to-peer hybrid network. In one example, the method includes selecting message content by an endpoint for delivery directly to another endpoint. The endpoint selects one of a message type and a communication channel to be used in delivering the message content, where the other of the message type and communication channel is selected to correspond to the selected communication channel or message type, respectively. The message content, which is formatted according to the message type, is sent to the other endpoint via the communication channel without receiving a request for the message content from the other endpoint.

The first endpoint sends a notification message directly to the second endpoint using the address information to inform the second endpoint that the first endpoint is online.
