Abstract:
The invention relates generally to devices, systems (100) and methods for measuring, transmitting, recording and displaying information relating to physical exercise. According to some aspects, the disclosure relates to a method comprising receiving exercise data associated with exercise performed at the exercise machine (1) and associating the received exercise data with a user being logged in at the exercise machine (1). The method further comprises receiving, from a holder (70) arranged at the exercise machine and configured to hold a user device during exercise, a signal indicating an identity of the exercise machine and an indication that an object is removed from the holder, and logging out the user from the exercise machine in response to receiving the signal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method, performed in a Body Area Network (BAN) enabled media experience device for enabling transmission of a media experience according to a stored, predefined user configuration associated with an identification data, userID, of a BAN enabled communication device, the method comprising: establishing a connection between the BAN enabled media experience device and the BAN enabled communication device by using BAN; retrieving the identification data, userID, of the BAN enabled communication device; retrieving the stored, predefined user configuration associated with the userID of the BAN enabled communication device; and initiating transmission of the media experience by the BAN enabled media experience device according to the stored, predefined user configuration.
Abstract:
A device configured to enhance user operation of an exercise machine. The device includes control circuitry including logic configured to obtain a stroke measure associated with an exercise motion performed by the user operating the exercise machine; obtain a speed value associated with a target speed for the exercise motion; determine a target period for the exercise motion, based on the stroke measure and the speed value; and output a guide indicator representing the target period on a display.
Abstract:
Controlling a lifelog camera (10) via a first intrapersonal area network (IAN) (12) associated with a first user (14) includes detecting a second IAN (18) associated with a second user (20) in range of the first IAN (12) and capturing an image of the second user (20) with the lifelog camera (10).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method performed in a system comprising a first Body Area Network (BAN) enabled device and a second BAN enabled device, for performing secure payment at a payment counter by a user of the first and the second BAN enabled devices, the user wearing or carrying the first and the second BAN enabled devices; where the first and the second BAN enabled devices are paired for authorizing the user by the second BAN enabled device; the method comprises: establishing a connection between the payment counter and the first BAN enabled device; sending a BAN signal via BAN from the first BAN enabled device to the second BAN enabled device requiring confirmation from the second BAN enabled device that the second BAN enabled device is in contact with the user's body; receiving a confirmation BAN signal via BAN from the second BAN enabled device to the first BAN enabled device confirming that the second BAN enabled device is in contact with the user's body; receiving a request for payment from the payment counter in the first and/or second BAN enabled device; and confirming the requested payment in the first and/or second BAN enabled device.
Abstract:
Obtaining a digital image tagged with corrected image direction information includes capturing and storing a digital image of a scene defined by a field of view of a lifelog camera (10) used to capture the image. A forward-facing direction (28) of a user of the lifelog camera is identified, the forward-facing direction within the field of view of the lifelog camera. A component of the image that contains image data corresponding to a portion of the scene containing the forward-facing direction of the user is also identified. The digital image is then tagged with the identified component.
Abstract:
A monitoring device performs a method of detecting a need for maintenance of an exercise machine comprising a time-of-flight, ToF, sensor. The method comprises obtaining a measurement signal from the ToF sensor at a predefined operating condition of the exercise machine. Based on the measurement signal, the method determines a measured distance between the ToF sensor and a reflective element in the exercise machine. The measured distance has been found to be responsive to accumulation of deposits on the ToF sensor and is thus evaluated by the method to detect a need for cleaning. The method thereby enables preventive maintenance.
Abstract:
The invention relates generally to devices, systems and methods for measuring, transmitting, recording and displaying information relating to physical exercise and, more particularly, to a monitoring system for monitoring exercise machines comprising a lifting mechanism for selectively engaging one or more of the weights. A first aspect of the disclosure relates to an exercise machine monitoring system for monitoring exercise machines, where the exercise machines, comprise a plurality of stacked weights, the monitoring system comprises, for each of the exercise machines a repetition detector and an exercise machine identifier. The monitoring system further comprises an observer and a user device.
