Provided is an information processing apparatus including a user extraction unit extracting, from second users whose information is set to be viewed by a first user in a service where it is possible to view information sent by other users, a presentation target user to present information to the first user, based on at least one of a first evaluation with respect to each second user by the first user, a second evaluation with respect to each second user within a range of the first user and the second users, and a third evaluation with respect to each second user within a predetermined range of users in the service, a first information extraction unit extracting information presented to the first user, from information sent from the presentation target user, and a presentation control unit controlling presentation of information to the first user.

An item recommendation system includes: a feedback receiving unit receiving feedbacks with respect to items by users; a feedback history storage unit storing information of feedbacks received at present or in the past by the feedback receiving unit in units of combinations of users and items; a relevance calculation unit calculating relevance between items base on first information indicating the degree in which the same user gives feedbacks to respective items and second information indicating the degree in which many users give feedbacks by using feedback information stored by the feedback history storage unit when receiving the feedback by the feedback receiving unit; and a recommendation unit immediately recommending items having higher relevance with respect to the item to the user who has given the feedback to the item by the feedback receiving unit based on the relevance calculated by the relevance calculation unit.

The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that enable efficient generation of a spatiotemporal map.A requester selection unit selects a requester of data concerning a certain location on a spatiotemporal map in which data changes with time from among a plurality of data acquisition units on the basis of at least one of contexts and profiles of the data acquisition units as well as contents of requested data. A data requesting unit requests data from the requester. A map generation unit generates the spatiotemporal map using data from the requester. The present technology can be provided, for example, to a server that provides a spatiotemporal map.
