摘要: There is provided a handheld device for navigating about a selected geographical zone. The handheld navigating device includes a processor circuit with a screen on which an image representative of a geographical map of a selected geographical zone is displayed. The geographical map of the selected geographical zone includes representations corresponding respectively with points of interest having locations and categories. The geographical map is configured so that (a) at least part of the representations corresponding respectively with points of interest are clustered within at least one viewing area, (b) the at least one viewing area is distinguished by a visible pattern having both a selected appearance and a first visual state that do not reveal the locations and the categories of the points of interest. The handheld navigation device includes a geographical position locating subsystem for determining when a selected relationship exists between the user and one or more of the points of interest. Responsive to the selected relationship existing, the processor circuit changes the appearance of at least part of the visible pattern to both reflect that the at least one viewing area has been transformed from the first visual state to a second visual state and the extent to which the user has traversed the physical area.

摘要: A pre-operative system and method are provided for predicting a difficult airway for intubation or mask ventilation in making a more accurate and confident prediction on difficult airway. The system may be provided as a two-sided card wherein a first side of the card may include a combination of predictive tests that are shown to be the most helpful in predicting a difficult airway. A ruler is also provided on an edge of the card to assist with measurements, along with an inch to centimeter conversion factor. A second side of the card includes a list of contributing factors for a difficult airway and clinical assessments findings associated with difficult mask ventilation. This cognitive aid may also comprise of a method to use the combination of predictive tests and contributing factors in conducting a thorough and confident assessment of an airway prior to a surgical procedure requiring anesthesia.

摘要: A method is disclosed herein which comprises receiving a user request for map information at a server. The method also comprises requesting one or more base map tiles from a remote server based on the user request, the request including zoom level information and tile position information. At the server, the request is normalised based on the zoom information and the tile position information. The method then comprises defining a map view area based on the normalised request, obtaining vessel data relating to a plurality of vessels, determining for each of the plurality of vessels if the vessel lies within the map view area, and creating a new map tile comprising the vessel data for the vessels determined to lie within the map view area. The method then comprises causing display of the user requested base map tiles and overlaying the new map tile at a user device.

In regards to a method, probe trajectory identifiers (IDs) of probe points along at least a portion of the first and second branches that lead away from an ambiguous probe region are separately identified and form first and second sets of probe trajectory IDs, respectively. For the ambiguous probe region, the probe trajectory IDs of probe points along a third branch that leads toward the ambiguous probe region are identified and form a third set of probe trajectory IDs. The method also includes classifying probe trajectory IDs from the third set as being associated with the first branch or the second branch in an instance in which the probe trajectory IDs are additionally included in the first set or the second set, respectively.

摘要: A system and method for implementing a landscaping project on a plot of land. The system creates a flexible landscaping template that is physically placed over the land that is to be landscaped. The flexible landscaping template has graphics printed on its surface that identify a variety of plants, indicate planting positions, and identify a variety of soil conditioning products the plants. The graphics on the flexible landscaping template can also indicate the placement of water management conduits and electrical conduits, the placement of hardscaping products and/or the placement of construction foundations. The flexible landscaping template is generated using input from a user and environmental criteria for the land to be landscaped. Once the flexible landscaping template is generated, the materials identified on the flexible landscaping template are gathered into a shipping module by a supplier company.
