Abstract: Mitigating interference caused by external networks includes identifying air interface resources within a wireless air interface that are subject to interference from the external network, scheduling resources for a first one or more wireless devices reporting channel conditions that meet a threshold or being a threshold distance from a serving access node to avoid using the identified air interface resources, and instructing a second one or more wireless devices reporting channel conditions that do not meet the threshold or within a threshold distance from the serving access node to use the identified air interface resources.
