摘要： Apparatus, systems, and methods are described that implement techniques for estimating a relative rotation between a first complex signal and a second complex signal. In apparatus form, a rotation-estimation circuit includes a first quadrant detector and receives the first and second complex signals and produces an estimate of the relative rotation between the complex signals. A variable rotator receives the estimate of the relative rotation and rotates at least one of the first and second complex signals using the estimate of the relative rotation. In method form, a first quadrant estimate is calculated that corresponds to the relative rotation between the first and second complex signals, and at least one of the first and second complex signals is rotated using the quadrant estimate of the relative rotation.

The modulating source includes an output that generates an impulse response encoded as a sigma-delta sequence. The output of the modulating source is coupled to the modulator, which is coupled to the analog input. The analog filter is coupled to the modulator and the sampling circuit. When the system is configured as a filter, an analog signal is modulated with the sigma-delta sequence. The modulated signal is filtered and then sampled.
