Abstract:
An electronic device having a windable screen includes a flexible screen, a first chassis and a second chassis. The flexible screen has a windable free portion at an upper side that has a first anchor structure and a fastening portion at a lower side to be fastened to the first chassis. The first chassis has a plane to flatly hold and anchor the fastening portion of the flexible screen. The second chassis has at least one operation interface and a second anchor structure which is incorporated with the first anchor structure to wind and anchor the flexible screen. Thus when the first and second chassis are folded together the flexible screen can be securely stretched and wound at the outer side of the electronic device to facilitate holding and storing without occupying a lot of space.
Abstract:
A touch-pad cursor control method is discussed. The touch-pad invention is placed in an electronic device and its control method is comprised of steps detecting if an object contacts the touch-pad; detecting the location of the object contacting the touch-pad; examining if an input for quick cursor movement exists, if YES, dragging the cursor on the device's display to the corresponding location of the object on the touch-pad in absolute coordinate positioning, if NOT, mapping the moving distance and direction of the object on the touch-pad to the position of the cursor on the device's display in relative coordinate positioning; detecting if an input button of the electronic device is pressed; and finally, executing a command based on an item pointed by said cursor on the display. By basing cursor movement on touch-pad input in both absolute and relative coordinate positioning methods, the invention determines cursor location, achieving a fast moving cursor effect
Abstract:
A device and method are provided for wearing a shoe cover onto a shoe without using hands. The device has a guiding system constructed in two parts. The first part is a disposable shift rail installed inside a package of shoe covers. The second part is a stretching path joining to the shift rail. With the guiding system, a reliable control of shoe cover movement is established.
Abstract:
An easy wearing disposable shoe cover and a wearing method are provided. The shoe cover has a rear portion, distinguished from a front portion, being capable of flipping around a sole. An elastic band, being omitted from front portion, strains the rear portion to be lower than front portion, which exposes the front portion of the shoe cover widely for an easy insertion of the shoe into the shoe cover without using hands.
Abstract:
A method for detecting vehicle speed detects existing noise frequency of vehicle power supply and vehicle acceleration value, and compares and processes the detected data to estimate the final vehicle speed. The method includes the procedure of (1) detecting power supply noise frequency and converting to engine speed; (2) detecting acceleration value; (3) comparing the engine speed and the vehicle speed; and (4) selecting the final vehicle speed. By means of the procedure of the invention, the vehicle speed may be provided to the vehicle navigation apparatus to continuously perform navigation during the brief period when the GPS signals are lost.
Abstract:
A central armrest display device includes a body in the central armrest that has a housing compartment with an opening directing rearwards to house and anchor a case. The display device may be erected on the case for viewing or housed in the case. The case can hold a multimedia player. Passengers on the rear seat of a car can see multimedia programs on the display device mounting on the central armrest.
Abstract:
A voice actuated transmitting device adapted for use in a two-way radio (or walkie-talkie) which enables operation without any loss of voice message in transmission is provided. The two-way radio is equipped with a transmit/receive circuit, a microphone amplifying circuit, and a voice actuated transmitting device. The voice actuated transmitting device includes a voice memory module coupled to the transmit/receive circuit and the microphone amplifying circuit; a voice recognizing circuit coupled to the voice memory module; and, a transmitting control circuit coupled to the voice recognizing circuit. The voice memory module stores sound data signals in sequential manner, such that the stored data may be accessed by the transmitting control circuit in a first-in-first-out cyclic manner. The voice recognizing circuit detects the presence of voice data in the stored sound data signal in accordance with a set of predetermined parametric criteria. Transmission is automatically actuated responsive to this detection to occur only when voice data is actually present. The transmitting control circuit is operable to generate a blank header signal for transmission with the voice data so as to compensate for any inherent delays in reception of the transmitted voice data.
Abstract:
A synchronous receiving/transmitting departure alarm including a receiver unit and at least one transmitter unit cooperating with the receiver unit. Once a holder of the transmitter unit is far away from the holder of the receiver unit by a preset distance, the holder of the receiver unit can be in time warned. The transmitter unit intermittently transmits a clock pulse signal and a receiving circuit of the receiver unit is synchronously opened to receive the signal so as to judge whether the holder of the transmitter unit is within the preset distance. Therefore, a person under care or an article with the transmitter unit is prevented from missing or being lost. A mobile phone can be used with the alarm to inform the holder of the receiver unit of a phone call.
Abstract:
A portable hold-free device is set forth for a hand phone, including an interface board and an external wire set. The interface board is sandwiched between a hand phone and a battery. A hold-free circuit set is contained in the interface board and connected to the external wire set. The external wire set includes an earphone and a microphone. The hold-free device enables the hand phone to be used without being held during driving a car, riding a motorcycle or a bicycle, walking or in other conditions in which the user is inconvenient to hold the hand phone. A speech memory IC is added to the interface board to serve as an answering machine.
Abstract:
An improved tape cassette adapter uses a mono-directionally operable motor having a worm rod attached to the end of the output shaft thereof that is engaged with a speed variation gear set. The last gear of the gear set having an eccentrically disposed vertical driving pole is associated with a securing board to which a limiting guide board is rotatably mounted. The limiting guide board and a left swing arm are operationally engaged with the vertical driving pole of the last gear. The limiting guide board is further engaged with a horizontally movable slide linkage rod. The likage rod is further linked to a slide board which is coupled to a pivotal right swing arm. A cam block disposed on the linkage rod is slidably in abutment against a power switch block so as to control the on and off of the motor in order to get the tape of a tape cassette stretched out or withdrawn back in operation.
