摘要: A virtual reality viewer for use with a mobile electronic device having a touchscreen, the viewer includes: a first lens and a second lens, wherein the first lens is facing the same direction as the second lens, and wherein the first lens and the second lens are spaced apart; an enclosure having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, the first side configured to hold the first lens and the second lens, the second side configured to receive the mobile electronic device; and a touchscreen input constructed of conductive material, wherein the touchscreen input is selectively in physical contact with the touchscreen, wherein the touchscreen input is responsive to a depressible button user input device that is accessible from an exterior of the enclosure and wherein the depressive user button does not rely on capacitance of a human finger to generate a contact action.

摘要: A phone case that has touch capabilities is disclosed. The phone case comprises associated electronics and/or materials that allows the phone case to be used in conjunction with a smartphone to allow a user the ability to have touch capabilities simply by depressing one or more edges of a phone case. The phone case with touch capabilities may be used in conjunction with a smartphone that maintains its own touch capabilities on the phone screen. The phone case may alternatively possess transmitting touch capabilities so that it can be used with and control other touch screens. The phone case may possess the ability to toggle between receiving and transmitting touch capabilities.

The conductive part is arranged such that an outermost end point thereof in the array direction is positioned on one of the plurality of electrodes.

摘要: A plural-panel touchpad and palm rest base chassis assembly for an information handling system may comprise a base chassis having an upper portion including a keyboard opening, a touchpad opening for insertion of a touchpad assembly having a touchpad surface panel comprising polycarbonate impregnated thermoplastic fiberglass, and palm rest support surfaces supporting palm rest surface panels. The touchpad surface panel and the palm rest surface panels may have front edges and side edges defining a front and side boundary of the base chassis respectively and also defining the keyboard opening. A lightguide layer may be joined to the touchpad surface panel and to a touchpad printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) to illuminate touch buttons. The touchpad assembly is mechanically and operatively coupled to the base chassis upper portion via top-mounted fasteners disposed through a support bracket to palm rest support surfaces and concealed by the palm rest surface panels.

摘要: In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a controller trigger that includes an input surface configured to receive input based on movement of a finger of a user, the trigger having a range of motion along a trigger path. The apparatus further includes a mode selector configured to actuate movement of an intermediate switching component between a discrete-input mode and a variable-input mode. The intermediate switching component includes a moveable arm, and in the discrete input mode the moveable arm occupies at least a portion of the trigger path, thereby limiting the range of motion of the trigger; and in the variable input mode the moveable arm does not occupy the trigger path. The apparatus further includes a switch configured to receive input, in the discrete-input mode, based on a movement of the intermediate switching component, in response to a physical contact by the trigger.

摘要: A method for calibrating sensed force of a touch pad module is provided. The touch pad module includes a touch pad and force sensing elements disposed therebeneath. The method includes: obtaining a force reference table obtained before the touch pad module is assembled with an electronic device, the force reference table including a first data, which includes a first point of the touch pad and first force reference values corresponding to the first point and respectively corresponding to the force sensing elements; placing a calibration block on the first point after the touch pad module is assembled with the electronic device, so the force sensing elements respectively obtain first force test values corresponding to the first point; calculating first compensation ratios according to the first force reference values and the first force test values; and inputting the first compensation ratios into the force reference table.

摘要: Provided is a system for a touch pad used by both a finger and a pen to input operations to a computer. The system includes a sensor electrode group, an integrated circuit, and a memory storing a device driver. The sensor electrode group is configured to be placed over a touch surface that is different from a display surface of the computer. The integrated circuit uses the sensor electrode group to detect a touch position on the touch surface where the finger is in contact and a pen position on the touch surface where the pen is in contact and supplies the detected touch position and pen position to the device driver. The device driver is configured to convert the touch position into relative coordinates when the device driver receives the touch position, and convert the pen position into absolute coordinates when the device driver receives the pen position.
