    摘要: An electrical connector assembly is provided for mating with electrical plugs. The electrical connector assembly includes a housing having a top wall and a bottom wall that is opposite the top wall. The housing includes a mating face having ports that are configured to receive the electrical plugs therein. A jack sub-assembly is held by the housing. The jack sub-assembly includes jacks having electrical contacts held within the ports for engagement with the electrical plugs. The jack sub-assembly includes a signal pin array having signal pins for connection to a host circuit board. The signal pin array includes a front side extending along the bottom wall of the housing. An electrically conductive outer shield covers the top wall of the housing. The outer shield includes a bottom flap covering an end of the bottom wall of the housing. An electrically conductive bottom shield covers the bottom wall of the housing between the bottom flap of the outer shield and the front side of the signal pin array.

A pluggable module is received in the receptacle and is mated to the receptacle connector. The pluggable module has a conductive shell and a retention post that extends from the conductive shell. The retention post engages the latch to secure the pluggable module in the receptacle. The conductive shell has grounding tabs that extend from the shell. The grounding tabs circumferentially surround the conductive shell.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly includes a shielding cage member having an upper port and a lower port configured to receive pluggable modules therein with side walls along the sides of the upper and lower ports. A separator member extends between the side walls between the upper and lower ports. The separator member has an upper plate and a lower plate with a channel therebetween. The upper and lower plates have interior surface facing the channel and exterior surfaces facing the upper and lower ports, respectively. RF absorbers are positioned along the exterior surfaces and are exposed along the upper and lower ports. The RF absorbers reduce an amount of EMI propagation through the cage member. A divider wall is positioned in the channel and extends between the interior surfaces of the upper and lower plates.

An electromagnetic interference (EMI) cover is mounted to the divider such that the EMI cover is engaged with and electrically connected to the divider. The EMI cover includes a flap that wraps around the front edge of a corresponding side wall. The flap overlaps and engages the exterior side of the corresponding side wall.
