Abstract: A patient support apparatus for patients. The patient support apparatus comprises a base having a base frame and an intermediate frame. The patient support further comprises a litter configured to be docked to and undocked from a trolley that is configured to slidably translate along the intermediate frame between a plurality of positions including a trolley forward position and a trolley docking position. The litter includes a lower pin and an upper pin. The trolley is configured to receive the upper pin and the lower pin and includes a lower pin stop and an upper pin stop. The lower pin is configured to abut the lower pin stop and the upper pin is configured to abut the upper pin stop to dock the litter to the base.

The actuator comprises a biasing device configured to store mechanical energy and having an interface. The actuator further comprises a torque multiplier coupled to the deck section and engaged with the interface to translate mechanical energy stored in the biasing device into force acting on the deck section to urge the deck section toward the first position.

The support assembly includes a track extending between first and second track ends with at least one curvilinear region defined therebetween and includes a carrier for selective movement between the ends. The support assembly also includes a mount coupled to the track and configured to support the medical advice. The support assembly further includes a retainer operatively attached to the carrier with the carrier operable between an engaged state to inhibit relative movement of the carrier along the track and a disengaged state to permit movement of the carrier along the track.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a litter that includes a support structure articulable between seated and supine configurations. The support structure includes a seat section and a leg section coupled to the seat section and articulable relative to the seat section around a seat axis between first and second angular positions corresponding to the seated and supine configurations, respectively. The apparatus includes a steerable wheel assembly coupled to and rotatable relative to the leg section around a steering axis, and a wheel system including a deployment frame coupled to and rotatable relative to the leg section around a pivot axis and a wheel coupled to and rotatable relative to the deployment frame around a wheel axis parallel to the seat axis. The apparatus includes a wheel deployment mechanism configured to rotate the deployment frame around the pivot axis when the leg section articulates between the first and second angular positions.
