    Abstract: A prediction method includes: measuring an actual shape of a rolling reference tire; acquiring a displacement profile as a change in the actual shape due to rolling; calculating displacement amounts of order components of first to Nth orders (N is an integer of 2 or more) in the displacement profile through fast Fourier transform; obtaining, as a quantitative index value, a reciprocal of a sum of displacement amounts of order components reflecting a change in the actual shape due to a sign of the standing wave phenomenon, and acquiring a correlation between a performance index value representing durability of the reference tire and the quantitative index value; and simulating rolling of the reference tire to estimate a virtual quantitative index value corresponding to the quantitative index value, and acquiring a correlation between the virtual quantitative index value and the quantitative index value.

    Abstract: A heavy-duty pneumatic tire includes a section width being equal to or less than 335 mm, an aspect ratio being equal to or less than 55%, and a toroidal carcass extending between axially spaced bead portions through a tread portion and sidewall portions, wherein the carcass includes a carcass ply which includes a main portion and a turn-up portion, a belt layer disposed radially outward of the carcass in the tread portion, a sidewall rubber defining an outer sidewall profile of each sidewall portion, and a chafer rubber defining an outer bead profile of each bead portion, wherein in each bead portion, on a straight line that is perpendicular to the main portion of the carcass ply and passes a radially inner end of the sidewall rubber, the chafer rubber has a thickness of from 40% to 60% of a thickness of the bead portion.

    Abstract: A heavy-duty tire includes a tread part formed such that the tread part includes a crown profile including tire equator, and a pair of shoulder profiles extending from outer sides of the crown profile to tread edges. In a tire cross section including tire rotation axis in 5% internal pressure state in which the tire is mounted to a normal rim, filled with air at internal pressure of 5% of normal internal pressure and loaded with no load, each of the crown and shoulder profiles has an arc shape convex toward tire radial direction outer side such that ratio Rc/Rs of curvature radius Re of the crown profile to curvature radius Rs of each shoulder profile is 7.0 or more, and a tire axial direction distance from the equator to a connecting point between the crown profile and each shoulder profile is 0.70 or more times a tread half width.
