摘要： A pillow for holding an infant comprises a pillow body having a padded region and a well region. The padded region comprises an upper section, a lower section and two side sections that surround the well region. The padded region further comprises a cover and a fill material stuffed within the cover. The pillow body angles upward from the lower section to the upper section such that when an infant is placed onto the pillow the infant is inclined, with the infant's bottom resting in the well region and the infant's back and head resting on the upper section.

摘要： In one embodiment, a method for making a pillow comprises cutting at least one piece of fabric to form a pair of skins that each comprise a midsection and two arm sections. The two skins are sewn together near their outer edges except for a portion of the mid section to form a shell defining and interior and having a middle region with an opening into the interior and two opposing arms extending from the middle region to form a well region. A fill material is blown into the interior of the shell until the pillow has a firmness defined by an IFD of at least about 20 Newtons with 25% deflection, and the opening in the middle region is closed.

摘要： The invention generally relates to articles which may be used as headwear for infants that address issues related to flat head syndrome. In a first aspect, an article of headwear for an infant is provided. The headwear is configured to reduce pressure at the rear portion of the head when the infant is lying or reclining in the supine position. The headwear generally includes a head receiving portion having at least a top region and rear region for covering at least the top and rear portions of the head of the infant. In accordance with the invention, the headwear also includes support cushion positioned in the rear region of the head receiving portion. The support cushion is configured to support at least the rear portion of the head of the infant and to at least partially surround a pressure relief region. The pressure relief region is configured to receive at least a portion of the rear portion of the head such that pressure applied to the rear portion of the head is reduced when lying or reclining in the supine position. Methods for reducing pressure at the rear region of an infant's head while lying or reclining in the supine position are also provided.
