摘要: In a liquid crystal display device including: a first substrate and a second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer which is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first substrate includes a resin substrate having conductivity and a polarizer, the polarizer is arranged on a surface of the resin substrate on a side opposite to a surface of the resin substrate which faces the second substrate in an opposed manner, a main surface of the resin substrate includes an exposure portion which exposes a portion of the main surface of the resin substrate from a main surface of the polarizer, a plurality of lines are formed on the second substrate, and the first substrate is electrically connected with at least one of the plurality of lines via the exposure portion.

摘要: A glass cutter is provided which can form, using a wheel, a uniform crack in glass even when a projection or an earlier-formed scribe line is present on the glass. When the wheel is moved on the glass, a fracture layer is formed causing a rib mark to be formed below the fracture layer and a crack to be formed below the rib mark. To cut the glass, the crack is required to be formed uniformly. Applying a force to resist the rotating force of the wheel makes it possible to form a uniform crack even when a projection is present on the glass. This improves glass cutting yield.

摘要: A first outer surface is a convex surface, and constitutes a first cylindrical surface drawn by moving a first curved line defined on a flat surface P in the direction perpendicular to the flat surface P. A second outer surface is a concave surface and constitutes a second cylindrical surface drawn by moving a second curved line defined on the flat surface P in the direction perpendicular to the flat surface P. The second outer surface includes a pair of end areas drawn by moving the respective end portions of the second curved line and extending toward a middle side beyond the respective areas opposed to the seal, and a middle area drawn by moving the middle portion between the pair of end areas. The second support presses the pair of end areas, while avoiding the middle area.

摘要: An image display device includes: a front substrate having phosphor layers and a light reflective film succeeding the phosphor layers and composed chiefly of aluminum on an inner surface thereof; a rear substrate having plural electron sources on an inner surface thereof, and disposed to oppose the front substrate with a specified spacing between the front and rear substrates; and a support member which is sandwiched between the front and rear substrates, surrounds a display area formed between the front and rear substrates, and maintains the specified spacing. Two end faces of the support member are hermetically sealed to the front substrate and the rear substrate, respectively, via sealing members. A thickness of the light reflective film is in a range of from 50 nm to 200 nm, and an average film density of the light reflective film is in a range of from 1.6 g/cm3 to 2.6 g/cm3.

摘要: The present invention provides a display device which arranges a face substrate having a phosphor screen and a back substrate having electrons sources in a matrix array, wherein an average film density of the phosphor film which constitutes the phosphor screen is set to a value which falls within a range from 2.0 g/cm2 to 3.4 g/cm2. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to achieve the high brightness and the prolonged lifetime of the phosphor screen of the planar image display device.
