摘要： An alignment structure provided in a twisted nematic field effect mode (TN-FEM) liquid crystal display includes, a first insulating layer deposited substantially along the normal direction of one of the supports, a second insulating layer deposited on said first insulating layer in a direction slant to the normal direction of the support, and a third insulating layer deposited on the second insulating layer slant to a direction rotated ninety degrees from said direction while the normal line of the support serves as the rotation axis thereof, thereby providing a three-layer alignment structure.

摘要： A twisted nematic field effect mode liquid crystal display cell comprises a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between front and rear substrates on which transparent electrodes are formed, a front polarizer disposed in front of the front substrate, and a rear polarizer disposed at the back of the rear substrate. The rear substrate comprises a glass plate, and the front substrate comprises a fiber plate. The fiber plate comprises a plurality of optical fibers of which axes are perpendicular to the plane determined by the liquid crystal layer.

摘要： A water content detection sensor includes a circuit member in which low resistance conductors 1,2 disposed in parallel to each other and a high resistance conductor 3 connecting end portions of the respective low resistance conductors, a carrier body 4 having a water-proof property and an insulating property, and a coating body 5 having a water-proof property and an insulating property, the circuit portion being disposed between the carrier body and the coating body. A plurality of exposure holes 6 are formed to the carrier body or the coating body so as to expose the low resistance conductors at plural portions, and when water content adheres between the exposure holes and the low resistance conductors are then short-circuited in a current conduction state, a current value is made larger than that before the adhesion of the water content. When a small current passes, it is judged that the circuit is normal, and on the other hand, a large current passes, it is judged that water is generated.

The urine receiver which collects urine of a wearer of the urine receiver under suction force has a container member provided with a bottom, a peripheral wall and flange. The container member has a suction tube which extends through the peripheral wall and has a urine suction port opening toward the interior of the container member and a urine evacuation port opening toward the exterior of the container member. The evacuation port is adapted to be connected to a connector of a urine suction means provided externally of the container member.

摘要： A loading device for loading a disc cartridge having a groove formed on its one lateral surface for extending along an inserting direction and a shutter provided for movement along the lateral surface formed with said groove. The loading device includes a holder for insertion of the disc cartridge and for holding the inserted disc cartridge. The holder is movable between a first position for insertion or ejection of the disc cartridge and a second position lowered from the first position. The loading device also includes an ejection lever movably mounted on the holder. The ejection lever is at least partially inserted into the groove of the disc cartridge on completion of insertion of the disc cartridge into the holder, and is biased in a direction of ejecting the disc cartridge inserted into the holder from the holder. The loading device also includes a holding unit for holding said ejection lever at the insertion end position of insertion of the disc cartridge into the holder and for releasing the holding on the ejection lever when the holder is moved from the second position to the first position.

摘要： A method of forming an orientation film of a liquid-crystal display device having two electrode plates and a liquid-crystal cell between the two electrode plates includes the steps of forming an organic film on a partial or overall surface of at least one plate of the two electrode plates and radiating accelerated ions containing neutral atoms to the partial or overall surface of the organic film coated on the plate. The organic film consists of liquid-crystal molecules. The radiation is done for etching the organic film and orienting the liquid-crystal molecules in a unidirectional manner. The angle of incidence of the accelerated ions is defined as 40.degree. to 80.degree. with respect to a normal line of the plate. It results in offering even orientation of liquid-crystal molecules included in the liquid-crystal display device.
