Abstract: A detection device includes excitation coils each wound such that magnetic flux generated in the inner diameter area thereof flows out from one opening end toward the other opening end, magnetic members that induce magnetic flux from an opening end of one excitation coil to an opening end of the other excitation coil, and a magnetic detection part that detects magnetic flux flowing through the magnetic members. In this detection device, magnetic flux flowing out from an opening end of the other excitation coil to an opening end of the one excitation coil is applied to an object to be inspected to thereby detect the physical property of the object to be inspected. The excitation coils that generate magnetic fluxes flowing in mutually reverse directions are used, so that magnetic flux can be concentrated within a relatively narrow area of the object A to be inspected.

Abstract: To reduce the number of components and simplify the circuit configuration in a magnetic field detection device capable of detecting a weak magnetic field without using a shield room. A magnetic field detection device includes a cancel coil wound around a winding core part of a bobbin, magnetic sensors fixed to mutually different positions of the bobbin, and a feedback circuit that makes a cancel current flow in the cancel coil according to an output signal from the magnetic sensor to cancel the environmental magnetic field in a cancel space. Since the cancel coil is used in common for the magnetic sensors, it is possible to reduce the number of components to be used and to simplify the circuit configuration.

Abstract: To facilitate a change in the number and layout of magnetic field detection devices to be arranged in an array. A magnetic field detection device includes a cancel coil wound around a bobbin, a cover member fixed to the bobbin and covering the cancel coil in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the cancel coil, and magnetic sensors fixed to the bobbin or cover member. The cover member has side surfaces and extending in the z-direction and positioned on mutually opposite sides. The side surfaces have first and second engagement portions, respectively, and the first engagement portion has a shape engageable with the shape of the second engagement portion. This makes it possible to arrange a desired number of the magnetic field detection devices.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic sensor capable of supporting a magnetic member in a stable manner, even when a magnetic member with a large length in a direction perpendicular to an element-forming surface is used. A magnetic sensor includes a sensor chip 30 including an element-forming surface 31 provided with a magnetism detection elements MR1-MR4, a magnetic member 40 including a first side surface 41 facing the element-forming surface 31, and a circuit board 20 including a mounting surface 21 on which the sensor chip 30 and the magnetic member 40 are mounted. The sensor chip 30 and the magnetic member 40 are mounted on the circuit board such that the element-forming surface 31 and the first side surface 41 are substantially orthogonal to the mounting surface 21 of the circuit board 20. According to the present invention, because the sensor chip 30 and the magnetic member 40 are mounted on the circuit board 20 in a horizontal state, the magnetic member 40 can be supported in a stable manner even when the length of the magnetic member 40 is large.
