Abstract: An apparatus and a method for a trace oxygen sensor is configured with a floating cathode that has a capability to detect part-per-billion (ppb) level or less of oxygen in a gas background. An electrolyte reservoir can supply electrolyte when electrolyte level is low. An electrolyte reservoir may be connected to the main cell along with a protection electrode.
