摘要: A hydrogen concentration sensor may include a plurality of electrically conductive plates. A hydrogen evolving electrode assembly in a first location between two of the plates may be configured to generate hydrogen. A detection electrode assembly in a second location between two of the plates may be configured to provide an indication of a concentration of hydrogen in a fluid of interest. A plurality of isolating layers may include a first isolating layer at the first location between two of the plates and a second isolating layer at the second location between two of the plates. The first and second isolating layers may each include a sealant that secures the two plates together and seals a perimeter around the electrode assembly at the corresponding location. A method of assembling a hydrogen concentration sensor is also disclosed.

摘要: Various example embodiments described herein relate to an electrochemical gas sensor. The electrochemical gas sensor can include a sensor cap having one or more solid features disposed on a surface of the sensor cap. The electrochemical gas sensor can include a counter electrode configured to generate a gas during use of the electrochemical gas sensor. The electrochemical gas sensor can include a vent assembly adapted to release at least a portion of the gas generated at the counter electrode out from the electrochemical gas sensor. The vent assembly can include a vent conduit and a vent membrane that defines a passage for the gas to flow from an extended portion of the counter electrode, to the vent conduit, via the vent membrane, so as to be vented from the electrochemical gas sensor.

摘要: Described is a basic device for analysing a biological fluid comprising at least one pair of electrodes (2) and a source of electricity (3) acting in conjunction to form an electrochemical cell to which the biological fluid is conveyed by means of a micro-fluid circuit (5). A functionalized coating is applied to the pair of electrodes (2) for receiving and retaining at least one marker of the biological fluid. The device also comprises a sensor (4) configured to measure a current signal in the electrochemical cell and a transmission module (6) with which it can be transmitted. Several basic measuring devices can be combined together to make a more complex system for use, for example, in hospitals or for testing laboratories which is able to perform many measurements in parallel providing multiple responses in the shortest possible time.

摘要: A gas detection apparatus and method for measuring humidity using an electrochemical gas sensor. The gas detection apparatus comprises an electrolyte-based electrochemical gas sensor and a controller configured to measure the average humidity value within an ambient environment over a period of time. The average ambient humidity value over the period of time is determined based on the average rate of change over the period of time of the electrolyte concentration within the electrolyte gas sensor of the gas detection apparatus over the period and the average temperature in the ambient environment over the period of time. The gas sensing apparatus may be configured to communicate the average ambient humidity value within the ambient environment to a second electrochemical gas sensor or a second gas detection apparatus within the same ambient environment.

摘要: The invention disclosed herein relates to a dry sensor for measuring the concentration of an analyte in a liquid beverage sample. Described herein is a novel dry sensor which is able to receive a liquid sample and adjust the pH of the liquid to be suitable for assaying an analyte of interest without the need to add reagents to the sample and/or to perform manually timed operations and able to detect a redox reaction in the presence of a liquid sample. The meter disclosed herein, when connected to the sensor disclosed herein is able to adjust the temperature of the liquid to be suitable for the assay, apply a series of potentials, measure the current at several times, measure the diffusion coefficient of the limiting electrochemical species, calculate the concentration of one or more analytes, and rapidly provide the user with the required information on the liquid sample.
