Abstract: Method and server system for location sharing are disclosed. The method includes: determining a motion state of a first user in accordance with respective information items related to a current location and a previous location of a first device associated with the first user; in accordance with a determination that the motion state of the first user is a stationary state, determining a user direction of the first user based an orientation of the first device associated with the current location; in accordance with a determination that the motion state of the first user is a moving state, determining the user direction of the first user based on a motion direction from the previous location to the current location of the first device; and sending the determined user direction of the first user to one or more second devices associated with one or more second users for location sharing.

Abstract: A method, device, and terminal for displaying multiple users' locations on a map. The method includes: acquiring in real time, the most current locations of all the users who participate through an instant messaging chat system to share in sharing their locations; determining a starting location on a map, creating a starting region centered on the starting location, and gradually expanding the starting region in accordance with the most current location of each of the users who participate in sharing their locations, until a target region including the most current locations of all the users who participate in sharing their locations is acquired; and determining and displaying a viewable region on the map in accordance with the target region. The target region starting region expands to display a viewable region on the map as determined, such that the most current locations of users participating in sharing location is efficiently acquired.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating real-time location sharing are disclosed herein. A computing device with processor(s) and memory displays a chat interface of a social networking platform for a conversation between two or more users including a first user and a second user associated with the computing device. The computing device receives a location-sharing request from the first user to join a real-time location sharing group and, in response, displays a message corresponding to the location sharing request from the first user among a set of messages in a first region of the chat interface and displays a location sharing status banner corresponding to the location-sharing request from the first user in a second region of the chat interface, where the location sharing status banner is displayed with a first display characteristic indicating that the second user has not yet joined the real-time location sharing group.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides system and methods for a sharing geographic location. A local terminal may be configured to display a map interface including a graphic indicator. The graphic indicator may correspond to a remote geographic location of a remote terminal. The local terminal may be further configured to receive a selection signal directed at the graphic indicator to track the remote terminal. In response to the signal, the local terminal may repeatedly receive a geographic location information update corresponding to the remote terminal. The geographic location information update may include an updated geographic location of the remote terminal. In addition, the local terminal may update a travel route indicative of a path between the updated geographic location of the remote terminal and a target geographic location. The terminal may display the travel route on the map interface in real time.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a location information sharing method. The method includes: initiating by a first terminal a location sharing session; waiting for a second terminal to join the location sharing session; receiving previous location information of the second terminal after the second terminal joins the location sharing session, and displaying the previous location of the second terminal that is marked by using the previous location information of the second terminal; receiving current location information of a second terminal; updating on the location display area of the first terminal, the previous location of the second terminal that is marked by using previous location information of the second terminal to a current location of the second terminal that is marked by using the current location information; and displaying on the location display area of the first terminal a voice communication interface for providing voice communication simultaneously within the location sharing session.

After detecting a first user input on the location-sharing message from the second user of the computing device, the computing device replaces the chat interface with a location interface of the social networking platform, the location interface including a map overlaid with a first indicator corresponding to a respective real-time location of the first user and a second indicator corresponding to a respective real-time location of the second user.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a terminal including a processor-readable storage medium including a set of instructions for geographic location sharing between the terminal and a target terminal; and a processor in communication with the storage medium. The processor is configured to execute the set of instructions to establish a communication with a target terminal of a target user remote to the terminal though a social networking application installed in the terminal; acquire a current geographic location information of the terminal at an interval of a preset period of time; and send the current geographic location information of the terminal to the target terminal at an interval of a preset period of time.
