METHOD OF PRODUCING LIGHT COLORED BASIC NITROGEN AND HYDROXYL CONTAINING EPOXIDE RESINS HAVING AN EPOXIDE EQUIVALENT OF FROM 90 TO 1500 COMPRISING FIRST CONTACTING AN ALKYL PRIMARY AMINE OF FROM 1 TO 6 CARBONS WITH EPICHLOROHYDRIN IN THE PRESENCE OF DI-SECONDARY-BUTYLETHER AND SECOND CONTACTING THE FORMED CHLOROHYDRIN INTERMEDIATE WITH AN ALKALI METAL HYDROXIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF DISECONDARY-BUTYLETHER AND/OR METHYL ETHYL KETONE.
